First period completed in the intra-squad game. Ritchie is playing with Strome and Hudon.

Ritchie looked good, smooth skating and strong forchecking. Neither team really generated much for offense. I stepped away for the intermission but apparently they had a quick shootout and Ritchie was one of two scorers.

Ritchie's looked seriously great. Amazing how far he's come in a year.

More politics than not making it. He would play a significant role on that team if he hadn't come over to play in Canada.

Ya he looked really strong. If you guys want lots of highlights on TSN.ca

Biggest hit of the game came from Ritchie, got an assist on the lone team white goal after taking the puck to the net, and scored in the shootout.

Would be shocked if he doesn't make the team now.

It's a fantasy ranking. All but worthless... unless of course you're in a relevant fantasy league.

Fantasy rankings, power rankings, any rankings..if you find yourself at the top, major success is being found. So I'll take it.

Ritchie a scratch for the game today, looks like he secured his spot. Going to be fun watching him play for Canada.

Some of you may have seen this but TSN has quotes from Brett Ritchie on yesterdays game aswell as from Canada head coach Steve Spott on Ritchie. By the sound of Spotts comments and Ritchie being scratched today, I think it's a safe bet he's on the team.

ricthie is really creating some serious hype, the more I see him play the more impressive he looks. Especially when he isn't playing with strome like in the subway series and last night where he just seems so dominant physically and offensively, and this years wj feels like it will be where we will see ricthie truly shine

Good for Stranksy, having a serious outburst lately. It's a shame he won't get to play for his country in the WJC.

He may miss the WJCs, but he will get the Memorial Cup experience this season which can be equally important.

I'm no expert on how different the leagues are, but even with Ritchie's amazing play for awhile now, Stransky is only 10 points back. In 32 games apiece, Ritchie is 27g-23a-50p and Stransky is 18g-22a-40p. That says a lot about Stransky IMO.

Never knew he was only 10 points behind I know that whl is a grittier and more defensive league then the o and q which makes it even more impressive, and if nhl does return stransky might be only one of the three who might come to training camp can't see dallas pulling faksa and ricthie from wj's

Yeah he was being talked about like he was a lock, so not too much drama.

When you take the long view of course it's a pretty big upset though.
