Sproul would be the standout of this group tonight.

So far Murphy was the only one that looked out of place out of that group, not a great game for him. Pouliot stood out from that group, much better than when I saw him play earlier this year.

Sproul was mentioned as a weak link after 2 periods. Corrado and Pouliot stood out, the other 3 had plenty of mistakes.

It's not worth it.

Love how Canucks fans can't even celebrate their prospect scoring a goal without people saying we're overhyping him.

My impressions:

First the Detroit guys since I watched them most closely

Ouellet was invisible out there, needs to pick it up

Sproul had a really nice rush at the end barely missed the net, like his size and can rush it up ice with ease. A bit raw in his own end but was fine once he settled in in the second and third.

Paterson was a nice surprise played really well actually. Made some big saves

Other players:

Subban let in 2 pretty weak ones (sorry nuck fans). A wrister from the point and from the top of the circle with no screen.

Graovac and Shinkaruk played really well.

Wotherspoon had a couple bad giveaways, so did Murphy.

Corrado looked solid, didnt stand out didnt do anything bad either which is a good thing

The pair of Corrado and Wotherspoon was one of the better pairings after the first period, Wotherspoon had that undisciplined penalty in the first though that will stand out for him.

The color guy seemed to be a big Sproul fan.

Murphy and Team White as a whole played collectively played better in the third and that's where he played the way he had too, keep it simple and when he sees the lane, turn on those jets and go go go. I really think it's early in the process to count out Dumba and I expect him to be more effective come game 2 tomorrow. He was really pressured today on the forecheck and although he had some trouble in his own end you can't count him right away without seeing the good in his game.

Ouellet
Harrington
Rielly
Hamilton
Reinhart
Dumba
Murphy

I got those 7 coming into this camp and right now I only see Dumba as a potential change.

Yeah, I really liked Wotherspoon but he had a few uncharacteristic mistakes in this game. That penalty and then he also had a brutal giveaway right in the slot while skating backwards in the 2nd.

Here's who my first cuts are:

Defence:

-Wotherspoon
-Pelech

Forwards:

-Camara
-Beauvillier
-McNeill
-Catenacci
-Monohan

I thought some of these guys were decent today, but there's just a log jam of talent. I think they may cut 3 defencemen. Ouellet and Dumba were totally invisible, but their hype will keep them in camp.

I'm assuming the cuts are made tomorrow. If it's after the game against CIS, this is probably subject to change.

Having so many quality pass-first forwards out there (RNH, Hubs, Strome, Hudon etc.) does not bode well for Drouin and to a lesser extent Monahan (who could still earn a spot as a role player). Shinkaruk and MacKinnon are much better fits, and both had excellent games tonight. We need some pure goal scorers.

Sproul did well
Pouliot impressed me
Reinhart was steady
Rielly has great skating
Harrington was steady

Graovac better be on this team
Mcneill better be on this team
Wilson better be on this team
Ritchie better be on this team
MacKinnon looked good - good skater
Hudon looked good
Danault impressed after the first period

Shinkaruk - no room for him
Drouin is not ready this year

Monahan had some good shifts

Non Factors:
Pelech did he play ????
Wotherspoon was a not factor as the game progressed
Corrado i didnt expect anything from him
Dumba did not impress
Murphy better not be on this team...1 good rush and thats it...
