Other than a few nice passes, Drouin seems to have trouble holding onto the puck and getting pushed around. I didn't think it was any problem to see he was one of the smallest out there.

Haters be hating. "He just got lucky with that goal" probably the worst analysis ever.

He didn't suck, especially compared to the other D-men.

You just don't like the idea of the Canucks having a potentially good prospect.

It's aight, we're used to the hate by now. Keep hating!

Graovac better be on this team
Mcneill better be on this team
Wilson better be on this team
Ritchie better be on this team
MacKinnon looked good - good skater
Hudon looked good
Danault impressed after the first period

Shinkaruk - no room for him
Drouin is not ready this year

Monahan had some good shifts

Non Factors:
Pelech did he play ????
Wotherspoon was a not factor as the game progressed
Corrado i didnt expect anything from him
Dumba did not impress
Murphy better not be on this team...1 good rush and thats it...
MacKinnon looked more than good. Dynamic offensively and made great plays on the back end.

Arguably the best player on the ice tonight behind RNH.

Basic impressions:

RNH looked more engaged in the third. Huberdeau likes taking the puck in himself. These two looked better together the more the game went on. Could be really special if they get some more chemistry.

Shinkaruk looked fantastic. Better than Drouin.

Philip Danault looked great. Could see him in a bottom six role.

Mackinnon should make the team. I don't know if he will. But he should. He brings game-breaking ability which seems to be missing... Not a lot of offensive creativity out there by most of the team for most of the game. He looked dangerous.

Reinhart is a big man. Looked bigger than Hamilton to me...
Murphy had a weak game. Made one really great rush.

Hamilton, Reilly, and Harrington remain the only locks on defence in my book.

Didn't particularly notice Wotherspoon, Pelech, Pouliot - not a bad thing.

Only noticed Dumba when he got rocked.

Corrado had a hand in the first two goals, and was thoroughly unnoticeable otherwise (even on both goals, he was pretty unnoticeable). Again - not a bad thing. I'm a Canucks fan - I'd love for Frankie to make the team, and I think he makes a good case for himself - no mistakes, goal and possibly an assist. But AGAIN, I will say it AGAIN. He has an outside chance at the 7th d-man spot. If Oulette's ankle acts up, maybe he could slip in at 6th. I DO NOT expect him to make the team. I (and I think I speak for most Canucks fans) would just be thrilled if he did, and will cheer for him accordingly.

Subban will start, even though he let in a weak goal from Corrado.

This team NEEDS an energetic presence to encourage the rest of the team to hit and play physical on the forecheck. A line with Wilson and Jenner is a good start to that, but they can't be the only ones.

Altogether. A pretty boring game outside of the last 15 or so minutes.

I was joking about that lol.

But Dumba was actually not that great out there. After they said he almost didnt get invited to camp hes probably not going to make it. Most people were penciling him in but I doubt it now after seeing his play and that quote

Don't think Dumba has much of a chance with how he was playing. You would think he would be out there trying to prove himself considering how negative that quote came out, but I think he actually looked worse than he has this year in the WHL.

I thought some of these guys were decent today, but there's just a log jam of talent. I think they may cut 3 defencemen. Ouellet and Dumba were totally invisible, but their hype will keep them in camp.

I'm assuming the cuts are made tomorrow. If it's after the game against CIS, this is probably subject to change.
This is what happens when somebody absolutely wants to bash a player.

OUELLET DID NOT PLAY.

How is it lucky? Why does a player take a shot? He shot the puck with the intention of having it go into the net and it did happen.

If that's your definition of lucky, then I don't want to know how many NHLer goals you would discredit.

Maybe if someone else shot the puck and it bounced off his butt into the net, that would be lucky.

To be fair, it was hard to read the numbers and he was listed in the line-up on the FASTHockey website.

I agree. There is no doubting his skill. His time may be next year but there is a possibility that Mackinnon will be in the NHL so there goes that huge 1-2 punch.

I liked MacKinnon but he has to stop the blind drop passes. It will cost the team if he makes it.
