He did fairly good.

His hockey sense really stood out throughout the game as he was most of the time around the puck.

Agreed. I really think he is a special player. I haven't yet watched him play without coming away impressed.

Someone on another site said Hudon was the star of the 2nd period. Any truth to that?

He was awesome all night tbh. In the second he had a couple super shifts where he was all over the ice, intercepting passes, controlling the offensive zone, clearing the D zone, etc. so I can see why they'd say that.

What an amazing draft we had last year, when was the last time we actually looked forward to be seeing our 5th round pick get some NHL action.

I recall a lot of excitement over Brendan Gallagher and Maxim Trunev.

Michael Ryder is also a former 5th rounder :-)

So very happy the Habs have Timmins, with Bergevin guiding the Habs. It's only a matter of a couple more tough seasons and Montreal Canadiens will win their 25th SC.Finally the team has management comparable to those from the 50's,60's and 70's to build the Habs properly.Hudon has shown great talent,if the Habs can draft in the top 5 picks again this year, the Habs most certainly can draft the necessary talent to build another Dynasty. In this Era a team should be a dynasty by winning 3 SC's in a decade, due to the length of the season and 4 rounds of best of 7 game series.Players of Hudon's abilities have renewed my confidence the Habs are capable of great accomplishments once more.

Woah. I am happy with the new management, but hold on your horses mate. We haven't seen much of the management's result yet, and as far as I know:

- Therrien
- Bouillon

Are not exactly unanimously acclaimed choices. Let's wait and see.

Although I am really happy at Prust. I remember hearing on the radio the last week of June how Prust was the kind of players Mtl should kill to get.

Bergevin hasn't done a lot on ice...off the ice I like a lot of his moves, adding to the scouting/assistant GM knowledge(Dudley) base and getting Mellanby Brisebois and Lapointe to help in player development.

Apparently Hudon was scratched for tonight's game which means that he has a very good chance of being on the team...Other scratches are:

RNH
Ritchie
Huberdeau
Jenner
Strome
Scheifele
Danault
Hamilton
Harrington
Rielly
Ouellet

Yeah usually when you are sctached it means you are a lock...except for injured guys. I think those 12 are all locks, Ouellet was banged up but he is a lock also.
