Not that I agree ir like it, but they are just playing what the audience wants.

LA is obsessed with the Lakers, even if the Kings win the next 5 Stanley Cups, the discussion is always going to be Lakers Lakers Lakers.

Really?

That is really stretching, if its true. Wow. The only reason I listen on Sunday mornings is if I am driving and there is nothing else on.

Somebody tell Magic that we call it "spring training" in baseball, not "training camp."

Either the coach or most of the players have to go. D'Antoni is not the guy for a team full of old slow guys. I don't know how much longer they can take. Lose to the Knicks on Thursday and you're 9-15 and lose the next day to the 2-15 Wizards has to be it.

Well, its not about the coach, that's quite clear. It's all about talent level and age, and the Lakers for the most part are on the wrong side of both equations.

I was disturbed going into the season that we were signing guys on the wrong side of 35 (and also looking at guys in the same pot). Add that to our already geriatric lineup and then you add a coach who wants to run? Really?

Let's face it, they could have Jesus Christ in that coach's chair and they would still be losing games.

Now, look at the Clippers. Nice mix of young guns and veteran guys and a deep bench AND they are fun to watch.

14-6 and if it wasn't for a couple of brain farts they would be 16-4. This team is going to contend with both Memphis and OKC for the WC title.

It would be nice to see them in their first Finals. Another L.A. team to break longstanding frustration would be sweet to see.

The Lakers need to get rid of Jim Buss. He's the man who's been calling the shots and created this mess in the first place.

Too bad you can't fire the owner. With Jerry pretty much retired we're stuck with Jim.

Ron, it is about the coach but it's not his fault. Like we're both saying the roster is not made up of D'Antoni type players. He was the wrong fit for the team and they're going to have to bite the bullet if things don't turn around eventually. It's going to be one expensive mistake.

Dodgers get Skip Skip Schumaker from the Cards. We finally have a backup/4th outfielder and he can also occasionally play the infield.

http://hardballtalk.nbcsports.com/20...er-to-dodgers/

Now if Ned can only land Brian Wilson. I'd love to have him. I don't give a **** if he was a hated Giant. You can never have too much depth in the 'pen.

Lakers lost 5 of 6, Clippers won 7 in a row: unbelievable that you can so unprofessional to your listening audience by ignoring the Clippers completely.

Lakers have lost 5 of 6, Clippers have won 7 in a row, wonder how much longer KSPN 710 can ignore discussing the Clippers without losing credibility in the Los Angeles sports talk radio market.
Without hockey games to go to, I have too much time on my hands.

So I choose to spend it trolling the local sports radio station.

So sue me.

Go to 570 instead, Ron. They've toned down their bias ever since the Lakers left them.

Yeah, I listen to them in the morning because I got tired of Cowherd's "all NFL, all the time" obsession.

Jesus died suddenly at the age of 33 so he would be too young to be part of the Lakers org.

At least until he rose from the dead but then they would want him as a player so he could get along with the other "experienced" "vets" on the team.

Heck, I just turned late 40's on 11/11 and have always been a more than capable free throw shooter (career average has to be in the 55 or so percentile). I am over 6ft tall too!

Maybe I am following the wrong sport. I got game, I got mad skills. I got about a 1" vertical leap on a good day with a trampoline underneath me and a sumo giving me cannonball launch.

I still ignore the Clippers. Yes I know they're doing well.

No one should be surprised by the performance of the Lakers though. Those off-season moves had disaster written all over them. It's sad when Kobe is the most energetic player on the court.

yeah, and the Lakers don't have first round picks for the next 4 years having given 3 away for 8 minutes of Steve Nash and 1 for Howard.

The Lakers are a disaster. Too old, too slow. You need really dynamic guards(besides Kobe)/Forwards in today's NBA.

The Big man NBA died like Five years ago. The Nash deal was awful for the Lakers. I have no idea why anyone thought that was a good idea.

And for the love of god, the Lakers need a REAL PG. The need a lottery pick (wont get one now thx Nash/Howard) and pick a freaking REAL PG.

I hope the Lakers spend a ton of money trying to find a Diamond in the Second round, cause they are going to need it the next Four years.
