I'll be stuck doing yoga (shut up!!), assuming it's not just same 'ol fluff and platitudes I would appreciate some cliff notes from anyone who is able to listen.

This while thing frequently makes me worry that perhaps the Mayans were right, and the world will end before this mess is settled.

I wouldn't trust that whole Mayan calendar thingie do.

The calendar on the wall in my office here is pretty clear that everything ends on December 31st.

Yeah I have one of those too.

Ya wonder how many people are skipping their minimum monthly payment on their revolving credit cards this month hoping they never have to pay the additional interest and late fees?

Jamison's interview is on now. Good stuff so far but nothing too deep.

Said he hopes for a 48-54 game schedule, sorta indicates that former players involved in the group, and hopes to close mid January.

Was there a confirmation of funds?

I was under the impression that was cleared up in September.

Its about 20 minutes long and should be on azsportstalk.com soon. I am not sure why people (mostly the haters on the outside) need to know investors names, this kind of group needs one voice like our buddy ken for the Dbacks. Mainly because you can have opposite views in one group.

Do you guys think he might be referring to Roenick? After all J.R. said the night his number was retired that he was in talks with an ownership group.

It was my first thought but the question was "former" players and he said yes/no. Could Shane have a role now or in the future? Still think former Ice Edge guys and Hulsizer are in it some way.

Was it just me or did anyone else think that Jamison wouldn’t plan on keeping GMDM and Tippett after their contract expires? He kind of dodged the question when asked if that would be his #1 priority. Then he went on to say he wants to bring in ‘hockey people’ to run the hockey side of the business.

I think it was just an incredibly awkward interview, to be honest. They were asking him about a team he does not own. They were asking how much money he's going to spend on payroll, who gets to keep their job, and which traditions he's going to scrap. It's not his team. He dodged most questions and answered everything like a politician. I don't think it is because he is being dishonest about anything. He just did not want to be wildly inappropriate with his answers and he did not want to give no answers, at all.

It's really a difficult spot for him. He has to come off as likeable and energized. He has to seem positive and full of ideas. He's got to make the radio interview engaging and interesting. Yet, he really can't answer any specific questions about anything at all specifically. Awkward spot to be. No doubt.

I would read anything at all into anything he said. Other than he plans on buying the team and feels he will be able to do so some time in January.

Also, if he let's Tippett or Maloney go than he's a complete moron and deserves the very certain very immediate and very likely irreparable crash and burn of this organization that he will experience.

There is not a better GM or better coach for this team or any other struggling team, under water, clinging to life in the entire world. Maloney is the best in the business at finding players in the trash heap and Dave Tippett is the best in the business of getting the most out of them. Nobody can find a diamond in the rough like Don and nobody can polish them off and make them shine better than Tippett. If you are flat broke or bankrupt and still want a contender, you can't possibly do better than the battery of Maloney and Tippett.

If their contracts should happen to expire, I expect John Davidson will immediately fire every single executive and coach in Columbus and offer both Maloney and Tippett blank checks and carte Blanche to hire and fire at will. He'd be an idiot not to. Those two would have that team in the post season immediately in their first year. They'd have them winning rounds within three years.

Yeah. I'd expect a Quebec ownersship to fire them both(due to the whole francophone thing) but if Jamison fire them I really have doubts about the near future for this team.
