Coach Q addressed the media during scrimmage break and said reports on Marian Hossa have been good and he'll be at Convention!

there is nothing new to say and that's good.He passed medical tests in Chicago, he can train at full load, he feels OK.... no reason for him to say 'I feel good' every new week. So, we shouldn't expect anything new until his first game or until first hits he will get....then he would say, well it's OK (or no, isn't).I'm just curious what he will do, if NHL season won't start...

Haven't heard. Hopefully he takes the year off if the season is lost (doubt that will happen though).

I really don't like the sounds of nothing really being released on Hoss. Hoping we don't have another Pronger situation on our hands.

NHL teams aren't saying anything now. You won't hear about any of the players until the lockout is over.

I think Hossa is a lot worse off than people think. Not only did he get hit REALLY hard, he hit his head on the ice REALLY hard. When most guys get concussions they aren't carted off on a stretcher.

I think Hossa is being swept under the rug here because there isn't a season so he can't play/practice

Yeah, he probably wouldn't have been ready for the start of the season. It is a great blessing he has all of this time off. And you know Hossa would love to play for Trencin during the lockout so he obviously values and needs the rest he is getting.

According to a source, #Blackhawks winger Marian Hossa has been medically cleared by team following recovery from concussion.

On the flip side he no longer gets paid until the end of the lockout.

TSN just reported that Hossa has been medically cleared to play hockey. I must admit that, for this announcement to take this long is worrisome.

Not really, when you see how violent and bad that hit was.

Plus keep in mind he wasn't getting evaluated as regularly as he would have had there been an NHL season. Since there is no season he wasn't getting checked out several times a week and probably once a week or even two weeks or so.

So now Hossa is healthy is won't be receiving anymore pay checks.

You don't think the team Drs. were trying to clear him ASAP? Especially since no games are being played and they are paying him?

This must have been the absolutely earliest possible time to credibly clear him. Not a great sign IMO.
