I know, but he doesn't look in the same league as the other 3 RD left. His skating has been exposed in this game and can you imagine how that will look against even faster Russian and Swedish teams on big ice? Murphy was not very good defensively but he was still in a different league compared to Dumba.

Why are the two Canadian teams so imbalanced?

I've been keying on him, and I don't want to sound like a homer, but he's doing lots of the things you want to see from a 4th liner -- dumping the puck, forechecking hard and hitting, but more importantly, not turning the puck over and staying on the defensive side of the puck.

Still a longshot but it's a good sign for his NHL future.

All the guys not playing today are considered locks. It's not two separate teams right now. I'm not sure what the roster will look like tomorrow, depends if they make cuts tonight.

Definite standout period for the Mackinnon - Shinkaruk - Lipon line. Mackinnon will be on the team it's just a matter of whether he fills the role of 13th forward or slots into the top 6; I'm hopeful for the latter (always exciting to have a 17 year old play a big role).

As for the other underaged guys, I feel like there will be a maximum of two undrafted players making the team, Mackinnon and one of Monahan, Shinkaruk or Drouin. I really like what I've seen from Shinkaruk, in the event he's on the team what role do you see him playing?

Also, don't get the Corrado hate here, as a Flames fan I hate canucks and all they stand for, but this is for Canada we're talking about. If he's one of the best 7 d-men then he should be on the team.

Doesn't mean they shouldn't play the locks at all. It's important to build chemistry.

Wilson not looking good so far. He knows what type of game he needs to play, so he better start playing it.

Pre-tournament games in Europe for those. Right now they need to find their best guys to bring.

I thought they were pretty invisible the first 19.5 minutes. Hope to see more in the 2nd.

I know that, but yesterday he was wearing the cage as opposed to the old Mighty Ducks fishbowl

Seems like the announcer has an easier time reading names and numbers with Canada going left to right.

I've only heard his name a few times. So far that's how he's been. Not positive, but not negative. So, if the team wanted him, he's looking good. If he's not on the team's radar, then he's not helping himself.

Hasn't done a lot so far. He's shown a willingness to go to the dirty areas, but his size doesn't help him out there. Hasn't seemed to have a lot of ice time, but I could just have been missing him.
