I remember when they drafted Shelton to ECW and it looked like he was going to team with Elijah Burke which would have been great for both of them but then

Ive always been bored by Shelton Benjamin, both in the ring and on the mke.

He just doesnt have that it factor, I dont care how technical he is considered I find his matches boring. Charisma is something that is hard to describe but I just dont think he has much if any.

MVP on the other hand I always liked watching, but always thought he needed to change that outfit they had him wearing which made him look stupid.

I read on Rajah.com that he said hes in Japan and despite the rumors that noone in WWE has talked to him. But then again Fat Albert said the same thing and lo and behold we now have The Mighty Tensai so who knows. Id like to see MVP back.

You got an extra hour of RAW to fill, it only makes sense. So it wont happen

I guess you can scratch MVP off the list;

I have NOT been contacted by WWE. I still work for New Japan Pro Wrestling. I don't know anything about these rumours. Sorry.

Chris Jericho always does that and Tensai even did it.

I thought bother wrestlers were garbage. Kennedy at least had the charisma and amazing mic work. MVP was a complete waste. Those guys can come/go as they please. They are decent depth, but nothing special.

I'd take Kennedy simply due to his entrance. The guy just can't draw work a damn. He also doesn't put on excellent matches, in my opinion. Or you know what.. rephrase that as memorable. Good wrestlers....not very memorable.

you dont need great wrestling ability to draw, you need to talk & imo, MVP & Kennedy did both well. Kennedy had HUGE potential but was wasted, imo. Couldve rose to a top 3 guy in the company if he stayed healthy and didnt get suspended.

Only thing I'll give MVP credit for is when he was in a feud with... (can't remember) he talked about his jail time and how it made him a man. Was really passionate stuff.

Just very forgettable once they came into the ring. Much like today's midcard. I feel it has more to do with writing as opposed to the wrestlers. Give them opportunities. Give them free reigns on the mic like Jericho had in WCW to get over. Give them a chance to recreate matches like hardys/e&c/dudleys did with TLC.

The midcard is for guys who want to prove themselves. Stop giving the big gimmick matches to the main event. All we need is wrestling there and we are good (with the occasional big time HIAC/Iron Man/etc thrown in).

So, five years into my lurking on HFBoards, I notice "Page 2". Been looking for a mature wrestling board for a long time. Anyway...

Guys I can see them going after to fit the "solid-hand mid-carders"
  • MVP
  • Shelton Benjamin
  • Goldust
  • John Morrison
  • Carlito
  • Trevor Murdoch
  • Val Venis
  • Shane Helms

Apparently, Val Venis said he won't appear for WWE ever again until they stop supporting SOPA or something like that.

SOPA failed. I know Val said over the summer that he still objected to WWE's position on online copyright protections, but the right sized paycheck could change his position.

As much as I loved Carlito, he had three wellness violations for prescription painkillers and refused to go to rehab. He's not coming back.

I think the first two, you never know....I think they'd take MVP back but Shelton for some reason they hated his promos so much....

Goldust I think is done. They fired him as an agent for something going wrong at a house show. Other than as a comedy act on a random RAW I don't see it.

Morrison will eventually be back.

Carlito does not have the fire, and I don't think he wants to.

Murdoch I liked a lot, kinda wonder why they got rid of him.

Venis, blah, same as Goldust to me. Played out.

Helms seems to have a ton of Hardy-like drama around him, and cannot stay healthy.

Shelton Benjamin was granted his release from ROH according to F4Wonline.com.

He is reported to have requested this so that he could negotiate and potentially leave for WWE as they have contacted him. At the moment, he can still appear on ROH television but he is no longer under a contractual obligation to be there.

Benjamin is expected back in WWE since he has gone as far as getting out of his ROH contract, many feel its just a matter of time.

YES!!!

Shelton Benjamin coming back would be awesome. Give him a manager and make him an upper midcarder. Would be awesome.

That was awesome. It came across as so sincere too. I think that was when he feuded briefly with the Miz in the US title scene

EDIT: Not sure if he was feuding with the Miz at the time or was just out there to put heat on Miz, but this is it
