They're giving Dumba a chance, I'm pretty sure they want him in that position playing with Reinhart. He has one game to show he can adapt, he's shown it before and he has to show it now.
No way Subban gets cut. I think it's him; Paterson and, for the third string, Brossoit.
I dont understand why people think subban is a LOCK. He had a TERRIBLE game today and said he underestimated U of A, what if he pulls that crap against Germany!
Not surprised. Spott is pretty loyal. Dumba was his captain and top player last year in the U18's so he will give him every opportunity to succeed. Just like he's doing with Murphy
Call it what you want, if it influenced his decision on Dumba>Pouliot then that's not cool and not fair to Pouliot
Jonathan Huberdeau (A) - Ryan Nugent-Hopkins - Ty Rattie
Mark Schiefele (A) - Ryan Strome - Nathan MacKinnon
Hunter Shinkaruk - Boone Jenner (C) - Brett Richie
Charles Hudon - Mark McNeil - Phillip Danualt
Jonathan Drouin
Morgan Rielly - Dougie Hamilton (A)
Xavier Ouellet - Scott Harrington (A)
Ryan Murphy - Griffin Reinhart
Frank Corrado

Because he's the most talented goalie in camp and has the numbers to back it up, 2 years running. He was strong in the CAN/RUS challenge and good in the SSS.
He's as much a lock as a lock can be. There may be some question as to who the game 1 starter is (not in my mind though), but clearly Subban is going to be on the team.
Scheifele-RNH-Rattie - Top scoring line
Huberdeau-Mackinnon-Drouin - Chemistry, elite skill
Ritchie-Strome-Jenner - Niagara chemistry, Jenner+Ritchie bring physicality
Hudon-Danault-McNeill - Checking line
Shinkaruk
Rielly-Hamilton - Top D Pair
Harrington-Ouellet - Shut down
Reinhart - Corrado
Murphy
Subban
Paterson
Scheifele-RNH-Rattie
Huberdeau-Mackinnon- Anthony Camara
Ritchie-Strome-Jenner - Niagara chemistry, Jenner+Ritchie bring physicality
Hudon-Danault-McNeill - Checking line
Tom Wilson
Rielly-Hamilton - Top D Pair
Harrington-Ouellet - Shut down
Reinhart - Corrado/Sproul
Murphy
Subban
Paterson
to many 2013 draftees - next year is for them
Drouin
Shinkaruk
I think people need to calm down after today's game. One game isn't going to change my opinion of Subban, Dumba, or anyone really. The U of A players are an older bunch overall, so I wasn't expecting a win to be honest.

It'd suck to see but I have a feeling we're going to see one or both of Shinkaruk and Drouin get cut. I think they've both shown enough to stay, but something tells me one of them is gone.
Subban gives the team the best chance to win.. you can't make an argument for any of the other players, even though Binnington is having a strong season, there's a significant dropoff; it's Subban and everyone else. He's not getting cut, even if he let in 10 goals today.
And given who's left if camp, I don't see McNeill getting cut. Team Canada isn't bringing 3 draft eligible forwards. Period.
Draft eligible players are being treated the same as anyone else.
Also keep in mind Shinkaruk is 3 months younger than Hudon, and has played in the WHL the same amount of time as the dub d-men (Dumba, Pouliot, Rielly, Reinhart).

He's a 94' not a 95'.
Didn't help Monahan, I'm hoping Hunter stays though, he's earned it thus far and he is one of few pure scorers at camp.

Tell me with a straight face that Camara is a better top-6 player than Jonathan Drouin.

I'll believe when I see it.. it's hard enough to believe we could have 2 draft eligible forwards on the team this year, let alone three. One of Drouin or Shinkaruk will be cut IMO.
