Too bad defense is not a need, because there's a few very good defenders on that list that might consider MLS.

One name that was a little buried was Mathieu Flamini. Can't see him coming to the MLS but he could be a good addition.

Perrotta and Marchionni could be options, neither one is a game changer though.

Yeah I realized his name was there but there is no logical reason he comes to MLS.

Ambrosini too, but they're all older than my grand mother.

Ambrosini might be able to play another year or 2, but Perrotta is done and wouldn't help us

Flamini would be a nice addition as well but doubt he makes a move to the MLS. Speaks french too and would be good marketing

Read this BS interview with NDS: http://www.journaldemontreal.com/201...corradi-sen-va

Bottom line is tgey're not in a hurry to hire a coach and if we cant find one we still have Mauro. That's rubbish!!

Impact made an offer to a Swiss coach Martin Andermatt? Who's this guy?

On other news, Corradi is going to be an Agent: http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/articl...-careers-italy

EDIT: Mapp signed a deal with the impact. Don't know for how much though, we'll find out next season I guess.

Soccer+ reported the Andermatt story, and 98.5 Took it from them. Sportsplus took it from an Italian journal, so must me somewhat credible. He has coached some pretty major teams in the past (1860 Munich & BSC Young Boys)

Here is the Andermatt Wiki page. He has sure managed a lot of teams in a pretty small period of time.

Andermatt is a Swiss legend as a player. But as a coach , not as much. I for one would be happy with more Swiss prospects

I'm happy with Mapp back next season only if 1) for less moneys 2) he sees less playing time.

Mapp was a great player but he always hit that wall at the 50-60 min .

He is a good depth player like Sinisa Ubisdjkfgaskudgf

Tissone is too young to be attracted here but he would be an awesome fit. He would work magic with Felipe and setting up MDV.

Our excellent relationship with Fiorentina gave us the opportunity to visit their new training facility, something that we are looking at for the near future.

[....]

That’s why we went to Lyon in November to meet with the president of Olympique Lyonnais, Jean-Michel Aulas, and discuss how their Academy is structured.

It was mentioned a few posts ago.

Also, I prophesied that Claudio Ranieri would be our next manager... I hope I'm wrong now: http://ca.sports.yahoo.com/blogs/soc...3Rpb25z;_ylv=3

Didn't know Ranieri was coaching Monaco. I never liked this coach.

1) Its a public facility
2) It depends if you consider Centre Sportif Claude-Robillard as a state of the art facility I mean, when the team has outdoor practices at the CCR Pitch, it looks like an abandoned pitch that the players are training on, compared to other training grounds.

Realistically, something like this would be perfect (Oviously, with 1 Indoor synthetic pitch, and 1 outdoor natural grass, as similar to the one at SS if possibly). Not sure if this team is in Ligue 1 or Ligue 2, but if they can afford it, I'm sure Joey can do it as well. 100% private? Not sure, but if he gets some help from the government, would it necessarily have to become a public training ground then? (Available to the public?)

Basically, Joey wants to build a complexe sportif bell for the Impact players & the academy products, a private place where they can basically do everything they need, on and off the pitch. Not sure about rental idea though. I know in Europe, training facilitys are really private, but if you look at the Complexe Sportif Bell, they rent it when it isn't in use to make more money.

I think you and others are mixing academy with training facilities. Last year was all about how the Impact will help young prospects flourish to become great MLS players, like Ouimette and Lefebre are on the verge of becoming. That doesn't mean that the training equipment at facilities are top notch. Most important thing for Impact is to not lose high end potential locals like Occean and that midfielder in Germany because they can't surround them properly.
