Yea I like to call it footie as well but people who don't watch the real football kind of get confused by it.

We are organizing a most handsome player in the league poll tournament for the poll board, could you guys give me 3 of the most handsome players on the team?

We are doing a 68 player tournament and are doing 2 from each team with 8 players as wildcards.

My wife says Pavs is good looking and she likes his accent. Blake Wheeler seemed to be popular with a few of our female posters as I recall. Bogosian seems like he would fit this bill as well (very popular with the girls in the city).

I was talking to a friend and he says there is a 'oil boom' in Canada and that there are a ton of jobs available throughout the country that pay really good?

Is this true?

Thanks!

Also, where do Winnipeggers like to go for a skate? Can't say I've ever had the pleasure of gliding in a frozen pond or river as a Vancouverite.

Everywhere!

I have 5 community clubs within a 5 or so minute drive all with out door ice.

I have also skated on the forks river path

Pretty neat, but chews up your blades pretty badly

My brother's an idiot and makes tons of money driving a truck around to oil camps in northern Alberta. That's about all I know.

They pay allot of money in northern Alberta if you can handle the extreme cold in the winter.

I'm going to look into it. I am young (19), so I feel like I could handle the cold.

Wish there were jobs in Manitoba, how cool would a Atlantan living in Winnipeg be? Haha

About the handsome jet thing...

Every female I know in this city (pretty much) has labeled as their favourite player...not that people would pick their favourite player by such a shallow means as the most attractive, I certainly don't do that with womens tennis/golf. Never...

About oil boom, yeah if you can get on in northern Alberta you can make an absolute killing with zero education. I work all my summers and spent 2years in Alberta oil industry...let's just say I live on my own, go to school 8 months a year without a job, and regularly take trips to USA/Mexico/Europe(at least once a year)...

Fun fact, today the probably most atheistic country in the world is one of the biggest celebrators of a Christian Saint!

I sense you are being sarcastic but if not.....You are a bigger man than I am Holden. I Enjoy watching Women's Tennis but must admit I love it when one of the several hot top seeds are playing. Same as the Olympics, I can get into a women's competition but it's a HUGE added bonus when they are cute, beach volleyball comes to mind. I don't like curling but I will pause if one of the women is a smoke show.

I have no problem when the women fans do the same thing with their beloved hockey players!

The Oilsands in Alberta are a great place to make money and I'd probably have headed out there for a couple of years when I was younger. It's a pretty rough place though but I suppose that's to be expected.

Have you considered looking into Western North Dakota, around the Dickinson area? They've got their own, albeit smaller, boom going on around there as well. I only ask as it may be easier as an American citizen to find employment there. That said, I have no idea if the Alberta companies put any restrictions on who they hire.

Ya, North Dakota is bursting at the seams right now (Esp. in the west, tho it's being felt statewide) a bit of a goldrush feel in the area, work camps, trailer parks springing up, people living in campgrounds and the like.

Southwest Manitoba is having a little oil boom as well, you don't hear much about it because the government doesn't make tons off royalties like they do in Sask or Alta. In SW Manitoba most of the mineral rights are still held by the landowners so they receive the royalties instead of the government. Anyways, the point being there are oilpatch jobs in Manitoba (2 1/2-3 1/2 hours outside of WPG), here's a link to one company operating out there (Virden is in the patch).

Rawr!!!

If I HAD to name others they would be:

Spencer Machacek, Alexandr Burmistrov, and Blake Wheeler is a tall drink of water. Honorable mention to Kane.

PS guys who pretend they don't know if another male is attractive are hilarious. We all know what is asthetically pleasing.

Ugliest? Dustin Byfuglien, Kyle Wellwood and Chris Thorburn.

This seems like a silly question, but if I'm skating in a pond instead of a rink is there anything I should look out for, technique wise?
