This is weird.

That said, my gf says Clarkson is now the best-looking player on the Devils (she claimed he was 2nd to Arnott, but became #1 with his departure).

I've heard some puck bunnies rave over Henrique too.

Kovy for sure. Good looking guy, and so is Henrique. Always thought Marty was too, but he's got odd nostrils. Kovy, Henrique, and Clarkson or Josefson. Josefson kinda looks like the singer of Bush to me when he was younger sometimes.

Clarkson's gotta be clean shaven though. He looked rough with a beard. Kovy, and Henrique looked fine with theirs.

It got me all bah humbug about winter snow.

It's a cant live with it, can't live without it mentality, though... because I'd hate living anywhere that didn't give me 4 complete seasons.
Ithaca isn't that mountainous, it's in a valley. All we had was Greek Peak, and that's piddling. We didn't even really get the lake effect snow.

I nominate the whole team minus Volchenkov.

But I think all that proves is that I'm easy.

If I'm assembling a top 3, I'd probably put

1. Zubrus
2. Kovy
3. up for grabs

Probably Clarkson or Henrique.
Josefson is just a baby, I feel weird throwing him in this discussions. Henrique is just outside that border.

Seriously... I don't even know what years we overlapped in Ithaca, but every winter was horrid. Maybe senior year was a little lighter than the rest. My first car didn't even survive 2 months of that crap.
Whatever geographic term you grant the area, I went from looking forward to winter & snow every year to absolutely dreading the first snowfall each year. That's my only point.

Skiing changes everything. I even storm-hunt; I'll jump in my truck and drive 6 hours to northern Vermont if the dump is big enough. I'll wait for the storm path and go anywhere from the Cats to the Dax to the Canadian border.

Which is exactly what's going to happen next week, but given Murphy's Law, I leave for FL on the 21st so I cant. Even places in the Catskills might get 2 feet of snow. Hell, the Poconos could get a foot if they're lucky, and they never get (much) snow.

Nothing really beats standing it the middle of a stream with a fly rod in hand while the snow falls all around you. Its the most peaceful, calming experience you could ever have. This is why I can't wait for snow.

That's the thing. I used to do a couple of skiing trips and try to have a few fun tubing trips back in high school, even into my freshmen and sophomore years of college.

The more I have to drive in the snow, or wait out in the cold for the bus or shovel the walkway... the more I hate everything about snow.

I wish I could go revert back to my youth when I used to spend hours buried in the snow and not give a single damn about how cold or uncomfortable it was.

I didnt know trout bite much in the winter. Would have thought their system would be slowed down too much to make for productive fishing.

Now I'm annoyed I never did this when I lived in Vermont.

No way. Not much for cruises, but I love the warm weather, and tropical stuff. That's most of why I moved to Florida.

All depends on what you're into man. Me I'd take the cruise, though I did snowboard a few times a year.

Plenty of times I've had a trout break the ice off my guides when it hit. Really though whether I catch anything or not it doesn't matter. Just being out there is enough.

I'm a big snowboarder, but I love cruises to...its just I'm passing up constantly getting drunk around a fire to having to wait till I get to the Bahamas to drink (plus we're driving down to Florida to catch it) oh joy lol.

2005-2009. The only huge snowfall I remember was in 2007 on Valentine's Day. Otherwise winter was about the same as it was back home.
