Anyone know when other countries will name their rosters? We know all the Canadian rosters for a while but all I've seen so far is a training camp roster for Sweden

Team USA will mostly be the U-17 NTDP roster but you'll probably see some additions as well since they've been battling injuries. Some possible additions to watch for include Nick Schmaltz (USHL), Shane Gersich (MN-HS) and Blake Clarke (OHL).

They announced their roster last year on December 21st.

Nylander, McDavid and Eichel all in the same tournament (plus Ekblad on the back end). Team Ontario is absolutely loaded, but the US is always tough to beat as they play so much together. Should be a good tournament.

Yup, Ontario will be a force. Surprised Barzel isn't on West, would have been nice to watch him, McDavid and Noel as underagers together.

Heard Ontario has a couple of injuries to players on their roster. Any idea who will fill in if they cant attend? Cant locate on Substitutes on the official roster.
Gonna be a great tourny.

Rantanen, Hopponen, and Kapanen, and Nättinen should be players to watch I belive along with talented underager Saarela. Will be interesting to see how Saarela stacks up with McDavid and Noel.

Alot of these guys have played together, which should help.

McDavid/Ho Sang/Bennett/Lindo/McKeown/De Sousa (Marlboros)
Fabbri/Hargrave/Bourne/DiPerna (Rebels)
Watson/McCann (Jr Knights)

My random guess at a lineup

Fabbri McDavid Ho Sang
Watson McCann Bennett
Petti Cornel Dal Colle
Bourne Lindo Hargrave
Salituro

Ekblad Middleton
McKeown De Sousa
Cummins DiPerna
Prophet

Moran
Mancina
I think you have to give more credit to Salituro. Only Watson and McDavid have more points. I think he should fit in some where in the top 6. He's been consistently the best player on the 67's since Monohan's suspension.

Don't need to tell me that. I've been a big fan of him since I saw him last year as a 15 year old. Personally, I think he's going to be a better goalie than Tyson Sexsmith. Hopefully he'll have as good a team in front of him in a few years from now as Sexy did.

Still too soon to say, but if he keeps developing the way he has, I won't be surprised to see him at the World Junior selection camp two years from now.

Tyson Sexsmith is a name I haven't heard in a while... What went wrong with him ?

I can't wait to see McDavid play, Ekblad too.

I've read about McDavid. Is this Eichel USA's own supertalent?

Not a lot of size overall this year,eh? (at least on the rosters for the Canadian regional/provincial teams) ... Ekblad ought to be having his way banging around so many pip squeaks..MAN vs. boys despite his own young age... maybe USA and/or the euro teams will be gigger overall than some of these apperently under-sized Canadian regional /provincial squads...Size isn't everything--but nevertheless the overall impression (so far) is : pitifully smallish -withonly a few exceptions..time for growth spurts though...let's hope..

The Swedish U17 team is almost as big as the WJC team.

Roland McKeown may be out for Team Ontario thanks to this hit from Brendan Lemieux (son of Claude Lemieux)

Despite getting up and trying to fight right away, McKeown has a Grade 1 Shoulder Seperation. Lemieux was suspended for 8 games.

Here's hoping McKeown still makes it, he's having a great season in Kingston. Not easy for a 16 year old defenceman in the OHL.

Ontario isn't big? The only guy under 5'10 is Salituro.

I remember thinking that the 2012 ohl draft was filled with giants. Cornel 6'2, Dal Colle 6'2, Middleton 6'3, Bourne 6'4, Hargrave 6'4, Cummins 6'3, Prophet 6'2, Ekblad 6'4, and those are just the guys on the team. Some other high profile 96s' that could have been on the team: Pettit 6'2, Peters 6'4, Sanvido 6'5, Schmaltz 6'4. Big class.

Team Atlantic has some size issues, though, for sure.

Yea, Eliteprospects has Team Ontario listed at 184.73cm and 79.05kg on average. Only Sweden is up there with 184.23cm and 80.27kg. Finland is right around 180cm and the rest of the Canadian teams and Slovakia(Russia and USA yet to be listed) are all under 180.

Russia u17 beats - Russia u18 3:2, which is surprising, as the 95's are supposed to be very good.

I suppose the 95's are missing alot of good player? At least those in NA and those at the U20 camp?
