He had 1g 4a 5pts even better.

Edit: Scoring on first goal changed Kulemin gets the assist and Malkin loses one. So he ends up with a 4 point game while Kulemin has a 5 point game.

He probably just meant the game before last against Spartak.

Malkin's goal from that particular game... around the 1:00 mark:

Classic Geno.

Ugh. I'm tired of hearing how awesome Geno is playing. I just want to watch it already.

Metallurg Mg (actually two teams in this city looks like) is playing Atlant tomorrow morning. Very disappoint in Atlant.

Mettalurg's not a city. Magnitogorsk is the city, Mettalurg means Steelers or something.

Erm ... the KHL is on break for Eurotour? Tomorrow Russia plays Sweden and Finland plays the Czech Republic?

There's a thread about it ...

Interesting. I'm sure line numbers don't matter (since Russia is stacked at forward), but I'm loving that Geno is centering the top line and Ovy is on the 3rd line.

Sorry I got my names mixed up. You are right. Two teams names Mettalurg from different cities. Strange. Mettalurg NK and Mettalurg Mg are the abbreviations.

Also my date was off by a week so you know... I'm an excellent source of KHL information. Yah, excellent source.

You see what happens when the NHL is on the verge of folding? I go to other league web sites and can't even interpret the dates and names correctly.

Malkin had an assist for Mozyakin's goal against Sweden today in Russia's 5-1 win.

Not really that strange, just a different culture of naming teams. If I remember correctly, in USSR many sports teams were formed by certain societies, and were attached to them in many ways. There were many Dynamos/Dinamos, Lokomotivs, SKAs etc. across the USSR, I think Dinamo was connected to police/KGB, SKA and CSKA to the Red Army, Lokomotiv to railroad industries etc. After the collapse of Soviet union, most of these sports clubs have become privately owned, but the legacy remains in their names and traditions.

Russian posters can correct me if I'm wrong at something here.

Was just thinking that if he's got such good chemistry with Malkin why not see if we can bring him over and have a Mozyakin - Malkin - Neal line?

41 points in 29 games? i figured Malkin would have atleast 50-60 by now playing in an easier league.

I dunno if anyones been watching the Euro Hockey Tour but Geno's been playing well in it.

Last game against Finland is on now.
Russia has crushed everyone so far. Tight game 2-1 so far. 2 periods done.

onhockey.ru

Geno's sick goal from yesterday vs the Czech's. 7:07 into it.
Scored again today on the PP.
Sweden highlights and todays game will probably be up on the same channel.

Very cool that there's no commentary. Thanks for the link.

I've watched only a few KHL games with Geno this season (due to the annoying time difference) and as fun as it is to watch, the lack of English commentary (although it's obvious why there isn't any) is frustrating.

If KHL games somehow had English announcing commentary I'd be all set.
