Admittedly Lindholm is probably the guy in the top 10 range that I've watched the least ...just 2.5 games but what's impressed me the most is just how fearless the kid is in driving the net off the wing, or bringing it out front from behind the net.

The way he plays you would expect him to get crushed from time to time as well, but he's so slippery, he's rarely touched.

No, they are not related but Elias is the cousin of Red Wings 2010 second round pick Calle Järnkrok, who also happens to be his teammate and linemate.

Lindholm is a really impressive prospect for sure. I fully understand the Forsberg-comparisons. (playing style)
How high expectations do you Swedes have on this kid?

Let me ask you, have you only seen Barkov in highlights? Because he is not a really flashy player. You can only understand how complete player he is by watching complete games.

Lindholm might eventually become the best European from this draft, who knows? But right now most scouting lists have Barkov before Lindholm.

I love both Barkov and Lindholm. I'd be extremely happy with either one from the #5 spot or wherever it may be.

Lindholm is the best draft year prospect since Bäckström, I'd say. Every tool in the toolbox is available and he's got the necessary skill and character that there should be no doubt whether or not it will translate to the next level.

I project him to be a first-liner, and that projection is not one we can throw around easily for the Swedes.

Wow, I didn't think he was this good. I was giggling like a little school girl when he was dangling everybody out of their jock-straps. I definitely see a lot of Nicklas Backstrom in him.

He made a legitimate question. And what he says is true and backs it up with solid reasoning. I don't see the problem.

edit: not to make this ot, impressive clip. Imo Lindholm should be considered as one of the threats to MacKinnon and Jones (alongside Barkov, Druin, Monahan)

Man-on-man defence.

Agreed on the physicality, though.

Seems like Dr. FirstRow will stream both Lindholm's and Barkov's games today, if people are interested in that. 11 EST.

Shades of Forsberg...

Lindholm is cleary a top 4 or 5 player fot this year's draft, I think he along Drouin will battle for the 4th and 5th selection while Monahan goes sixth now.

So I understand his father owns a high-end furniture store that sells quality pieces rather than the crap IKEA exports. Makes sense because I guess Lindholm is going to be a high quality import, as well.
