Putting him between Hudon and Ritchie today seems like they want to get a look at him if they need someone to play C in the top 6. Say if RNH had to go back to NHL and they bumped Strome up to the top line ?

Based on today's lines
Here's how things look to me

Huberdeau-Hopkins-Scheifele
Played together one game and have sat since

Hudon-Strome-Ritchie
Hudon and Ritchie together again today and Strome plays with Ritchie already

Danault-Jenner-Mcneill
Danault and Jenner are locks, adding Mcneill makes it a great shutdown line.

Drouin-Mackinnon-Rattie
Drouin and Rattie on same line again today. Mackinnon has only been used at C so makes sense to put him here.

Camara
If i'm correct and they do go with 3 scoring lines, they'd probably want a big body here. I think Camara has been the best player remaining that could fill that role.
I like this alot as well.

That 4th line is great, especially if spott can play the matchups. Having Rattie there is brilliant, he'll be an anchor for Mackinnon and Drouin, retreiving pucks and also ramping things up defensively.

My only change might be adding Shinkaruk to that 3rd line and having McNeill as the 13th forward. To me Shinkaruk has played well enough to be on this team. But we'll see.

I hope Dumba has a good game today it would be a shame if he got snipped without giving his best effort.

I like Corrado making his case and the team he could eat some solid defensive minutes if say Ouellet as an examples injury flares up during the tourney.

There is a point!
A fact about winning and player selection.
we have won 5 of the last 15 WJC.
But?????????

the russian hockey reconstruction started in 2002 after they did not medal in in thier home country the year before.
Junior availabilty was priority over league play.
Since then they have been in the medals 9/11 times
3 gold 4 Silver 2 bronze

Sweden had a extended period of failure.
In 2005 they Had hockey summit
Created a new junior development approach.
With results starting to show in 2008, eliminating a 12 year drought.
Since 2008 medalled 4/5
1G 2S 1B

In 2006 US started giving CHL/USHL americans a better shot at the team. Saw a consistent jump from 2-3 to 7-8 CHL/USHL players on the roster the last 4 years.
Since 2007 medalled 3/6
1G 2B

From 2002 to 2006 finland got bronze 4 of 5 years.
After the resurgence of Russia, Sweden, USA
None.

So year to year there are really 4 teams who can win.
with entrenched systems since 2009.
You really cannot see a strong diffrence between the 4.

records during the 4 years 2009-2012
Canada
1G 2S 1B
Russia
1G 1S 1B
Sweden
1G 1S 1B
USA
1G 1B

these teams realized politics of team or media did not matter.
Politics?
We cannot afford any of that.

I often question some of the goalie decisions.
Giving visiten the second Chance?
What the heck he choked!

Subban with weak goals.
He has been the worst goalie in camp.

I want to win!
Gold only.
A silver in the group of 4 makes you average
3rd is loser.

Worse yet
2009 Gold
2010 Silver
2011 Silver
2012 Bronze Good thing USA was a major Failure this year.
I do not like the trend.
2013 ?????????

Absolutely love it, exact players I would have and couldn't have done the lines any better myself.

Thanks,

I'd like to fit Shinkaruk in as well but preferred Mcneill in a shutdown role. The only way I could find a way to get him into the lineup is to move Hudon to the 3rd line but HC seems to want Hudon and Ritchie on the same line so far.

No eligibility rules. The CIS is almost all former CHL/AHL/ECHL players.

Though I don't think it's that guy.

Since when? You lose a year of CIS eligibility every year you play pro.

Am I the only one watching this game? Or do people just come to this forum after the games to pimp their team's prospects?

CIS has no rules basically in terms of eligibility. Which is partly what makes it such a high calbire league.

You have 5 years of eligibility and can use them at any time. Mike Danton played for the Huskies the past two years, even though he played a number of years in the NHL.

Its mostly OHL players who have ruined their NCAA elibility and now want to go off to University and play for another 4 years... but you get the occasional former pro, or NCAA player that wishes to transfer.

The best CIS teams are able to beat alot of the best NCAA teams. I know for a fact Western played Michigan State a few years back when they were very strong and tied.

Nice start for Camara and Drouin. Guys on the bubble need to stand out, they certainly have early in this game!

Binnington giving up two quick goals...not good on his card!

Definitely watching. How bout Camara jumping out of the box and leaving MacKinnon in there to serve the 10 minutes when it should have been MacKinnon out after the 2! haha!

Cut throat I tell ya to make the team. You sit in here kid...

One year of eligibility shall be charged to a professional athlete for each year that the athlete participated in a recognized sport of CIS as a professional, irrespective of the CIS sport that the individual will be competing, specifically:

Looks like he's played 4 years of pro, so I guess he could have one year left.
