Does this mean we get celebratory cupcakes?

Or congrats or something, I guess.

Done that drive dozens of times and doing it again next week. Doesnt faze me. I almost get psyched up for it. The worst part IMO, is 1 hour in, because you realize after a full hour of driving, you havent even started.

BTW, hopefully you're leaving from Port Canaveral, FL and not Miami, FL (add 3 more hours drive time if it's Miami).

I hate the drive down from Jersey. When I came here on vacation I would usually just fly, but I've driven a few times, and most recently a little over a year ago when I moved. The worst part is if you get stuck at the merge over by exit 8A on the Turnpike going south. It's only about 40-45 miles into the trip. You don't have to be too lucky to pass through there when it's not jammed up, but then the last toll on the Turnpike before the Delaware Bridge sometimes gets jammed up if you don't got EZpass.

If you make it through the Turnpike trouble free which there's a decent chance you will, then you got DC, and the Beltway. Almost always a nightmare. It's pretty smooth sailing after you through Richmond Virginia until you get to maybe Jacksonville Florida. Occasionally you might run into problems there. Usually most of VA, NC, SC, and GA the only problems I've run into were construction. Not much congestion. Though most of that run is a boring stretch. Really sucks if you have to pee while stuck in traffic for a long time too.

Taking the train is the best. Not extremely pricey you don't deal with idiot drivers and you don't worry about falling 15000 feet to your demise.

Somebody here summed up my feelings on it well a while back - if I wanted to watch cars drive by at high speeds I'd grab a cooler of beer and sit on the side of the parkway

That being said though, I'd still like to take in one NASCAR event

It's cool to watch live. I used to go to Pocono, and Dover all the time. Even went to Watkins Glen once. I don't watch it on TV too much unless I'm bored, and it's not a nice day out and I have to sit in the house. I have a feeling I might be watching a lot of it come February.

The Pocono 400 this year was one of the coolest events I've gone to live. It was way more fun than people give it credit

I actually prefer Dover for the fact that Pocono is such a long track, and you can't see much of the other side of the track when they get over there.

She does still owe me a shot of tequila. And I owe Semak two beers, whenever he shows up again.

So after two weeks I finally got my car back yesterday. Only to find out my radio doesn't work and lock feature on my key doesn't look the doors. However, the key will unlock the car for you. lol

Edit: And everything was working before it went in to get the body fix.
