You simply can't shoot wide there. Barrie didn't look good either.

For those who've been following the Monsters, has either of Pickard or Aitto started to separate themselves from the other yet? Or they still splitting time, and playing equally well?

Also interested in hearing this. I think for the most part it looks like both have been playing well.

Did Stefan Elliott just go home to BC and smoke weed all off season? Or what the hell is going on? 1 assist and a -11.

Was at the game last night and boy oh boy Pickard looked good. He was tracking pucks well, and not giving out many "bad" rebounds.

The major thing that stood out to me was his compete level. Many times early in the third period he was overwhelmed (Mainly because the defense was awful), yet he kept them in there. Two or three huge scrambling saves that were less about luck and more about the effort to take away as much of the net as possible.

Other than Pickard, a pretty awful game for everyone else. Defense wasn't too bad, but they had a hard time finding the transition game. It was dump and chase all game long for both teams, but neither team's D could get their transition game going.

Sounds about right.

Seriously, I have NO idea what's going on with him. He's a better player than what he's shown us this year. Not sure if he's been told to focus solely on getting better defensively OR if it's more of a confidence issue but clearly he's struggled. At least he's been able to get away from Sullivan in the past few games that I saw. I always wanted to see him paired up with Gaunce but now he appears to be struggling as well.

Not sure how much different Chynoweth is from Quinn but a lot of the guys on the team look like they are trying to find their place.

Maybe Tripods could shed some light on what's going on...he's very insightful.

The amount of ice time and strength of opposition would dictate that. Does anyone know or pay attention to his assignments, ice time, and matchups? Even still, he can pay more attention to the defensive side of the puck but he isn't a Lidstrom. Let him do what will make him successful in the NHL or you will shatter his confidence.

If only there were Corsi numbers for the AHL.

Just seems like alarmingly negative numbers for a player that skated through the entire San Jose Sharks team as a rookie. Or a guy that scored on Brodeur with a wrist shot from the blue line. Kid has skills. I will have to watch a game in the future here and see what the hell is going on.

I don't think Elliott has been that bad lately, even though the team has played worse. He still jumps into the play and isn't afraid to shoot. I do worry that he looks extremely weak out there. When he's on a guy, it's like he's not even there. They shrug him off and do what they want.

I think I saw Kevin Porter out there. He's probably really good at the AHL level. No kidding.

Monsters are playing better than they have in the games I've seen lately. They're playing with high intensity.

I've been watching for 10 minutes. I have seen 2 minutes of game play. The rest was the crowd.
