Didn't take him too long to get an assist.

Wilson's now 3G, 1A from matching his total from last season (which he compiled in 49 games) after only 20 games.

Good to see that kind of offensive emergence from a Caps prospect.

FastHockey will stream tonight's Red/White Hockey Canada intersquad match at 9PM eastern for free (registration required). Wilson will wear #16 for Red on a line with Camara & Danault.

Update on Steffen Søberg.

In the Norwegian GET-league with Vålerenga:

GP: 20 GAA: 2.35 SVS% 91,7.

Søberg is currently playing in the U20 WC DIV1 with Norway, and after 3 wins in 3 matches his stats are 1.33 in GAA, and a SVS% at 95.70!

Leading all goaltenders in all categories.

Looking at some of the things being said about Dumba, thank God he didn't fall to the 11th pick, I have a feeling with the whole reasoning behind the Wilson pick, GMGM might of also gone for Dumba if he was there.

He apparently is slow as **** backwards and gets beat a lot.

Sad thing is the Pouliot maybe is good, PPG and +20, Maata also pretty good.

But Slater Koekoek is a -20, so I guess that's good.

The kid has excellent straight line speed. He has very strong legs. Iirc, one of the strongest at the combine last year.

But he's not Fedorov or Kuzya-like skater that's for sure.

Lacks hockey IQ. Smaller version of Phaneuf. All the tools but no toolbox. He'll be awesome if he can put it together, though.

Pouliot and Määttä play on stacked teams. That's helping them a lot. They both need to improve their D a lot. The Finn in me would like to see Määttä succeed but he needs to improve he's D, a lot. Especially D zone coverage.

Sounds like Wilson doesn't survive final cuts.

Still eligible next year. Probably pretty obvious they must of thought he might be a penalty magnet via iihf standards

Forsberg, and Djoos is we're lucky. And I guess Barber has an outside chance?

I've been following the WJC USA Thread, and most of them slot him in the top 6.
