yeah that's what I figured, don't really want Bergors, and I don't really want Gillies at 1mil next year, but I wanted to add some speed to my bottom lines this year so I went for it. You got to clear gillies next year and get rid of a contract spot

The Montreal Canadiens have made a big shake up to the roster to start the year. While giving up big pieces of the future (Galchenyuk/1st) and grit up front (Umberger/Moen/Prust) we feel the Canadiens have added top NHL talent to the forward group (Havlat/Grabovski) along with good pieces for the future that can play in the NHL now (Kadri/Colborne). Plekanec gets his wish with fellow countryman on his wing. We feel we have added a lot of depth which should help when the injury bug hits as we all know that's inevitable.
The Canadiens are still looking to add some size up front and some depth on D. Players that are the most available are Deshardins, Gionta, White, Kaberle and all prospects/picks. Anyone can be had but Subban better be a huge offer and Price is the same.
Pierre LeBrun is also reporting that the Habs are keenly interested in another veteran winger and could be close on a deal that would send the Canadian media into a frenzy.
