From what I can tell he's been with OEL lately. Even strength and PP.

No, just on the PP. Goncharov has ben paired with OEL. And due to the rotation on defensemen the pairings change quite often.

Ekman-Larsson propels Pirates to third straight win
By Justin Pelletier, Lewiston Sun Journal Published: 15th December 2012

Quote:
LEWISTON — Oliver Ekman-Larsson may be young, but he’s spent enough time in the National Hockey League to know that not all shots need to be slapshots, nor do they all have to be rockets.

Ekman-Larsson surprised Manchester goalie Martin Jones with a sneaky wrister from the top of the left circle 3:45 into the third period Friday night to lift the host Portland Pirates to a 4-2 win over the Manchester Monarchs in front of a sellout crowd of 3,745 at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee.

5 straight wins, not too bad. Nice to see Portland at the top of the division, hopefully they can keep it going. Anybody that is particularly standing out during this stretch?

I havent been following the Pirates too closely lately but if im not mistaken i think their Dmen have been stepping up and contributing offensively in recent games... I always hear about Rundblad, OEL, Gormley and Stone getting points.

Really nice to see the farm team doing so well in a fairly competitive AHL right now

Sorry I haven't been around.... I suffered a lower back/hip injury a few weeks ago and its kept me on the IR for covering AHL games so I've been covering HS games instead.... I'm not able to climb stairs right now so I'm not able to cover the Pirates at the CCCC. I hope to have day surgery within the next couple of weeks and be back at somepoint in Feb. In the meantime... I'll try to keep everyone updated with what our other writers, who is covering the team, have to write.

Pirates have 7-8 D and sit everyone out through a rotation system. Likely just OEL's turn.

Caught the game on radio tonight, nice comeback win after being down 3-0 and a great way to finish off the year for Portland. Miele's point streak snapped but Summers gets his first goal of the year. First in the division is a good way to end 2012.

Hope everyone has a great new year!

keep in mind, Portland starts 2013 tonight after last Thursday's Nor'Easter took the Providence game to tonight; also, the Bridgeport gm on Saturday is televised...

Visentin with 48 saves in a 2-1 win. Sounds like he has been real strong the last few games he's been in.

Mark Visentin has won 4 straight starts, allowing a total of 3 goals during that stretch.

Also portland is now 2rd in their conference and 1st in their division

Was at the game and Visentin looked great, he seems to be developing really quickly from how he looked at the beginning of the season. He definitely stole two points from Providence tonight.
