Anyone else see this last night?

Kinda cool to see my old high school on ESPN. His brother Drew was a baller too. Just never got his head right.

There is some serious talent in the Bay Area these days at the high school level.

What a great game for any football fan.

Yeah he is. Losing Justin Smith hurt and I'm still mad about that PI call that put the Pats at the goal line. Still happy with the outcome though.

Brady is a robot. Literally completes the same pass over and over again and the Niners could do nothing to stop it.

And then he has to sit and watch his defense immediately negate any good he does on the field by giving up TD's to the Niners.

But yeah that was ridiculous how he dropped over 400 yards and 30 points on the Niners D.

I realize the Seahawks have been playing crappy teams last two weeks but good goc! Please tell me the Niners will not let them get to 50 pts!?

I want the Niners to win the rest of the way to the playoffs.

Cause yes I am greedy!

I think it's a mix of that and people underestimating Wilson and the passing game.

Little later than you, '05. Just before they upgraded everything and made the school actually look nice.

Except when it came to not dropping snaps. Jeez, practice with a cold wet football next time or something.

Still, that was a really good game.

God? Really? He completed only 14 passes all night and threw for a modest 216 yards, both under half of Brady's totals. He benefited greatly from prime field position more than a few times in the game. He did make three big TD passes but the winner to Crabtree was all RAC yards.

And how many snaps/handoffs did he fumble? Four or five?

Brady only did well with Smith/Brown injured and Fangio switching to Zone.

Don't take my drunk posts out of context! Scoring 41 points against NE is very impressive. If we could somehow combine Kaep's arm and Smith's lack of stupid mistakes, we'd have something really special going.

I just scrolled through looking for the most Kaep love, because it's been bugging me since yesterday. Sorry to bite your head off there. Fans were justifiably concerned going into this game but it seems like so many are extrapolating only the final score in turning from worry to confidence (leapfrogging the stage of relief).

You guys act like Smith never EVER made a mistake while he was playing. He committed 3 turnovers against the Giants and 2 more against the Vikings this year. Being a first year QB, Kaep will make mistakes. In fact, he's expected to make more mistakes than Alex. But don't say that Smith never made stupid mistakes. Like you guys, I've watched 7 years of Alex, and he's made plenty of stupid mistakes during that time.

A's sign Nakajima from Japan to play SS.

Definitely sucked to see Drew go. I really liked him for the A's.

Going to be interesting to see how this plays out. He was a .310 hitter in Japan, but I know nothing about this guy.

Quote:
Nakajima agreed to a two-year deal worth $6.5 million, a major-league source told The Chronicle, and the A's hold a team option for 2015 at $5.5 million. There are numerous incentives and escalators in the contract.

A co-worker of mine made a similar point, but my response to the idea that I expect Kaep to make more mistakes is that that doesn't excuse him. This team is good enough to win NOW. If I thought we had no shot with anyone else, then sure, let the kid play and the mistakes are growing pains, but this team doesn't suck and mistakes could kill us, especially come playoff time. Of course Smith made mistakes, but if he makes fewer, he might be the better choice. Remember how we would have been in the Super Bowl except for a kid making mistakes?

No it's not. The impressive thing was keeping Brady under control long as you guys did. Your D did and excellent job holding him down in the first half but then he went crazy but it was too little too late. Also nice on the forced turnovers on Ridley and Hernandez.

Well yeah. A highschool team could drop at least 35 on the Bills.
