whos blaming him for everything?
i already said he cant be blamed for everything. that is just dumb. but he deserved to be critisized for the year he had last year.
He also needs to focus on hockey. i dont think Holmgren was happy with him in that regard. I hope he bounces back and plays like hes capable of. The Flyers are going to need him. I dont think anyone wants to see a repeat of last year.
i agree with everything your saying. i just perceive a lot of the comments on here as over the top analyzation of every goal that he lets in.
Bryz made it to Russia's Channel One Cup extended roster (second tournament of the Euro Hockey Tour, played between SWE, FIN, RUS and CZE), along with Barulin and Kosheckhin. It's going to be played between Dec. 13 and Dec. 16, and, holy ****, is Russian offense stacked
Speak Russian, I do not, but Google translate says Bryz, along with Dadonov and Popov, was eliminated from the national team roster "as a result of medical examination". There isn't any other info, so I don't know whether he's injured or what.
I'm wondering if there's still bad blood with the national guys/coaches, and they're just saying he wasn't up to their medical standards as an excuse to snub him.

Why put him on the extended roster in the first place then? There's an abundance of Russian goalies that would not be out of place there, and they also could've just gone with Bob like they did in the first tournament. I don't think they'd just mess around like that, because this tournament is played in Russia and from what I hear they really want to field the best team possible. And you can see from the roster, they didn't spare anyone.

not likely; it appears that Bryz has a great rapport with billyaletdinov (sp.)
Vladimir Myshkin, goalkeeper coach for the Russian National team explained Bryzgalov's situation:
"Bryzgalov is seriously ill with very high fever. He needs to be medically treated now, not play hockey.
Regretfully, we will not be able to evaluate his game in a framework of the Russian part of the Eurotour." (Sports.ru)
Bryz ridiculed Russian journalist (as usual, I tried to keep translation as close to
(Sorry, ran out of characters in the title. I tried to maintain original style of the conversation)
Sport-Express. ru called Bryzgalov personal phone to find out the reasons for his departure from the Russian National team camp.
Q: Why aren’t you with the team? Do you really have health issues?
A: Apologies, but, unfortunately, I am not ready to speak to press in any detail.
Q: Why?
A: The fact is that I am now in the Space Flight Mission Control Center that you mentioned in your previous interview. I am wearing space suit that, as you understand, precludes me from talking to you.
Q: When will you finish your space affairs and will be able to clarify your situation?
A: You know, space is a different matter. Perhaps my flight will be prolonged. But we will talk.
And the line went dead.

That's awesome, regardless of how I feel about him as our starting goalie you cant help but like his personality haha
Unfortunately, Google translate is not perfect. Bryz did not say he liked Darth Wader.
After he doned the suit he said:"I am like Darth Wader from "The Star Wars" now"

Maybe that will be on his next mask. Can't be any worse than the tiger mask.
Video...
He is truly a space cadet. And, yippee, we're stuck with him for the foreseeable future.

You really didn't need a perfect translation to get what he said if you interact with russian speaking people
