I saw Rafa Marquez has left NY. Why did the fans hate him so much?

Sources: Casiraghi available and open to coaching in MLS

With Chivas USA announcing the signature of Jose Luis Sanchez “Chelis” Sola as their new coach on Wednesday, the New York Red Bulls and the Montreal Impact are the last two MLS teams still on the lookout for a new head coach for next season.

http://www.goal.com/en-ca/news/4172/...oaching-in-mls

So probably between him and Andermatt.

We should just get one soon so that we can continue building the team instead of waiting.

I get the sense the Impact aren't in a real rush to get a new coach. NDS is the real boss anyways.

It's so sadly true. No team can get anywhere when there's one stubborn, overconfident asshat at the head. We have two. At least one's ultra rich.

How is Bernier not the captain? It is crazy he does all the interviews and promo for the team. He is the face of the team. It's gotta be awkward in the dressing room. I haven't heard Arnaud speak to the media or anything in months.

If Arnaud leaves yes it's a no-brainer. If he stays, gonna be complicated, Arnaud will either stay as the 'official' captain but will be on the bench so he won't see much captaincy time on the field, or they just strip captaincy from him and give it to Bernier.

Let's be honest here: who gives a **** about Arnaud? Strip him the captaincy and send him packing please. What a waste of a roster spot.

We didn't take anyone in the re-entry draft... A little surprised.

Not surprising at all... this is stage 2 of the re-entry draft and we didn't pick anyone in stage 1

You can negotiate the contract in stage 2. This is why a lot more players were picked today

Say it before and I will say it again. I don't really get this re-entry draft. Seems like a huge waste of everyones time.

Weird article from the UK.

"Lighting up the MLS". I mean he did play 2 really good games, but isn't that jumping the gun?

"MLS star" ... Dailymail!

If he continues his development though, he's a very interesting player. Made great strides in just 1 season. And the best part about him is his sound technical abilities. Something we don't have enough of.

PERFECT compliment to Bernier as a central defensive midfielder. Way better than Warner at crossing the ball to attackers, with the same excellent work-ethic.

More Italian scandals and now maybe tied to the Impact: http://www.canadiansoccernews.com/co...hp?4033-Impact

Nesta's low cap hit will certainly come in question.

Strange bit of news here but apparently Jesse Marsch wants to coach Canada.

I renember Douville interviewing Nesta who said that he's talking about the MLS to his friends in Italy and that the salaries are very good here. I said to mysel there is no way Nesta is being actually paid only 250k if he finds the salaries to be good here. He could easily make a lot more in europe.
