The Barons lose again against San Antonio.. This time they lost 3-2. Eberle had a goal and helper, also Hall had an assist. Those 2 points for Eberle makes it 30 points on the season(22GP's). And that point for Hall makes it 16 points in 13 games.
The Barons record after these back to back losses again San Antonio looks like this:
11-8-3 so really 11-11. They're 4th in the South Division and 9th in the Western Conference.

Oklahoma dropped another game today, this time to Peoria. It was a 4-2 loss. Schultz had 2 helpers and Hall had 1 goal and 1 helper. We have now lost 5 in a row. Let's pull it together! Especially with RNH going off to the WJ's.

How bad is the Barons blueline? Over 3 goals against per game is horrid. I think the Schultz signing by the franchise was a smart move but they badly need to add some some defensemen that can log minutes and are defense first types, as well as a couple forwards that could turn into PK specialists.
Although I do find it funny that the barons are sitting in 9th when prior to and just into the season so many were ready to crown them champs if there was no season.

Their defense has been horrible so far. When Schultz is your best defensive D-man, you just know you're in big trouble. His D partner Marincin, another rookie mind you, looked great for the first few games but has become worse and worse over the last 5 games or so. The AHL vets (Teubert, Plante) have unexpectedly stunk up the joint pretty badly, especially Plante (AHL all-star last year). Fedun has looked okay, nothing spectacular. And the ECHL call-ups haven't been too spectacular either.
Combine that with mediocre goaltending and you have a recipe for disaster.

Binghamton with a nice 3-1 win over Wilks-Barrie. Benny Bishop set aside 28/29 shots for the win. Jessiman, Silfverberg and Wiercioch chipped in with goals. Bingo plays Wilks again on Wednesday.
Also, OKC took on San Antonio looking to snap there 5 game loosing-streak and they did so with a convincing 5-1 win. Dannis set aside 25/26 shots. Eberle, Hall, Teubert, Schultz and Paajarvi all had goals.

Milwaukee defeated Rockford 4-3 in OT. Rockford tried their usual goon tactics in the first period. It cost them 30 minutes in penalties and two PPGs. Rockford has 631 PIMs versus OKC is in second in the WC with 497 PIMS. Rockford is tied for first in the division with 28 points, Milwaukee is tied for third with 25 points.
I predict another brawl between these two teams before the season is over. You can't keep jabbing a guy in the stomach with your stick during a faceoff and expect to get away with it. The AHL should always assign 2 refs to a game between these two teams. Hanson missed too many tripping and interference calls last night for my taste.

Milwaukee defeated Hamilton 4-3. The game wasn't really as close as the final score would indicate. The Admirals were leading 3-1 after two periods. Hamilton's first goal was actually scored by Ads D-man Joonas Jarvinen. He swatted at the puck in the low slot and put it inside the left post. Goalie Jeremy Smith was at the right post and would have made the save if Jarvinen had left the puck alone. Milwaukee missed an empty net twice in the last minute of the game.
The Admirals took 4 of 6 points this weekend. The Ads went from third to last to tied for third in their division this weekend. They are one point out of first in a tight race.
Oklahoma City falls in a Shoot-out 4-3 to the Houston Areos. Hall(also added a helper), Schultz and Arcobello(had an assist) had goals for us. Eberle put up a helper.
Our record is now 13-9-4 with is 13-13. We're tied for 3rd in the South Division and tied for 6th in the Western Conference. We play 2 road games on Friday and Saturday VS. the Texas Stars to close off games before the Christmas break.
