My first ever WL game today. Feels nice, but I'm not liking the added implications for my TS. Part of me wants to go for it, and try to do well in the World League, but part of me realizes I probably won't fare too well against most of these teams, and i shouldn't waste my spirit...
Leafer, what do you mean we're getting special team stats?
Last season, sponsor pack included the breakdowns you used to get from that other site, HAtools? What was it? Like team comparisons within the league, average AI, facilities, etc.
Now it's expanded to full power play breakdowns, including total PPs, goals, pct., 5-on-4 and 5-on-3 stats. Doesn't look like PKs are on there yet though, just number of penalties for and against.
My all-time points leader renewed his contract a few days ago and I've removed the franchise tag. He's down to 18P and doesn't figure in the long term, so best to get some cash for him while I can. I'm going to put him up next week for a pretty high minimum and see if anyone bites, if nobody does I guess I'd be ok with keeping him until UFA.
Anyone interested? Keep in mind I am trying to get paid here.

Pulled a solid 91/82/+ 17 year old from last season. Since I've decided I won't be doing another rebuild and just see how this current team does I'll be putting him on the market. I haven't payed any attention to the market but he's up for 200 mil so hopefully that isn't too crazy of a price.
Not sure yet. The idea is that if he stays til UFA, I only get 70 percent of the sale price. So I need to figure out how much I think he'd go for a season from now, and then try to get more than 70 percent of that.
Could Hauck be the last piece of the puzzle to finally defeat the Coyotes?

Sedlar is a placeholder. Kendar needs to go, and if Rezac can't get to 200 AI by 23 at least, then he's gone too. Should be interesting to see what happens in II.2 after I get two youths to replace Sedlar and Kendar with. Hopefully there is enough firepower to stick up there as I continue to retool.

Pleasantly surprised to grab a win yesterday over HC Winnipeg in the WL. One win, one loss, and the rest of the teams in my group are quite beatable, so we'll see.
The bad news: Lost my top winger for six days. It's times like this that i wish i had a bit more depth up front.

I lost my second WL match 3-4 to canadian squad Margo's Cargo. I had two dmen out. That killed me. My team is not equipped to deal with two defensive injuries. A win there would have been big.
MyLow and 100k win bonus strategy is not working as well this season in the league. I'm sitting in 6th. And I missed a chance to make up ground on the Yotes.

I didn't really need a center, so i didnt bid. But I have been looking for some forward help. I ended up keeping Teodor Fejdasz. He was -3 and his auction ended at 4:30 AM. Fricking ridiculous time. I think I paid 170M or so. His total price for 93/-1 is 65M to buy, 45M to franchise, and 170M UFA- 280M. Not a bad deal for my leading scorer for many seasons.
How much money do you guys like to have as a reserve for your teams? At one point when I kind of stopped paying attention I was sitting on over 2 billion. Now I'm at around 200 million and feeling queasy about it.

I just like to have enough to cover any UFAs. That's over and done with for the next three seasons. I just re-signed Alexis Kronholm for 216M.
I will have to start replacing some players soon. I should have done it last season, but I wanted to push for a trophy of some kind. **** that season. Now I'm behind with little desire to push forward.
