I'm still hoping for something around JPA and Rasmus +.
That would be ridiculous overpayment

TDA will be better than both of them put together.

Hardly a "pile of crap", catchers with power are always in demand, but yes TDA holds infinitely more value.
Glad to hear Gose is most likely safe.

Wow, just wow. Dickey only makes 5 million next season. The Jays could definitely make another move here. They could use a DH. Laroche on a short contract would be a nice fit. Maybe the + coming along with Dickey is Ike Davis. That would be a good fit for the Jays too.

Well, considering that's the only thing he can do, I think he qualifies.
He's an average catcher and not really anything more.

I would be so happy if this happened. Jays are my favorite team and Dickey is my favorite player.

I think average is even being generous. He is below average defensively and offensively. All he has is power.
Wait I mean he is awesome Mets fans, you totally want him instead of TDA....
Go sherdog!

Still like Yankees chance of winning division again.
Johnson and Morrow are injury prone.
Dickey is a senior citizen and could break down while playing in AL East.
Romero sucks.
Buehrle gets lit up by the Yankees.
Happ is dime a dozen.

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt because his power is on the higher end of the scale for catchers.

Looks like Gose is not in it, per Heyman quoting Sherman.

The only team that has no chance is the BoSox

His power is nice and I could see it continue to improve but that is really all he has.
His D is poor, his arm is poor and he cant get on base.

Pretty much. He's not going to get much better at 27 being a catcher, so what you see is what you got.

We might even be a better team next season with Buck over JPA. He is even worse with the bat but atleast he brings something to the table defensively.
JPA trying to catch a knuckleball would be a disaster.

The Jays are phenomenal offensively and could afford to move JPA to improve their defense with Buck.

I completely agree with you. Especially if we add a solid lefty bat to play 1B or DH.
JPA's power is not enough to make up for his defensive short comings especially at a premium position like catcher.
I also wouldnt complain if Rasmus was moved to make room for Gose. Tho it might help Gose's bat to spend another year in AAA.
Atleast unlike JPA Rasmus is decent defensively, so it wont hurt to much to wait a year there.

The bulk of the Yankees core are senior citizens..
Theres definitely some questions regarding the health of the pitching staff, but thats what the depth is for.. 1-5 they're as good as almost anyone in the American league..
Cano better carry that team, because they have more question marks surrounding this season and their future then I've ever seen. Whose in right? Whose going to catch? Just how bad will Youk be at 3B? Whose at short until Derek Eater gets back? What about Pettite?
Ironic to hear about question marks coming from a Yankee fan.

Pineda is injury prone.

Hughes gets lit up by the Blue Jays.
Garcia is a dime a dozen.
See, I can do that too.

You can forget about Wheeler. Why would Mets package him with Dickey? It doesnt make sense. Wheeler and D'Arnaud have similar value.

I still find this rumor hard to believe with TDA involved unless the Mets are sending a top prospect back too.
If Mets add it'll be something along the lines of Ike Davis/Niese/Parnell etc.
Harvey and Wheeler are about as untouchable as they can be.

Romero sucks? Because, what, 1 bad season? He was great the year before
You argue injury prone, yet Arod is missing half the year, Jeter isn't healthy and you have Youk.
Not to mention Swisher is gone too
Jays rotation without Dickey is better than the Yanks. With Dickey...
