Honda is a good start.

Although Arsenal need to avert their strategy of signing a few guys for 12-15 million and put all of their eggs into one basket.

Getting Miralem Pjanic and Edin Dzeko would be a nice start.

Pjanic in the EPL is a big fat no-no.
Guy can't handle the physical game.

Interesting. Is that a flat 3, or a more diamond 3?

it would be a dream to have xabi back at Anfield. Him teaming up with gerrard again would be amazing. It would also be beneficial for lucas and allen as he is one of all time great mid-fielders
God, don't even speak his name. If I could sign any player in the world, it'd be him. Of course, theres a large emotional aspect to that. He's like the soul-mate, the one girl you wanted to be with, the one that got away.

Alonso is the type of player that could keep playing for quite a few years yet as well. If he wants to come back, should do everything to make it happen.

I still can't believe we tried to get Barry for that role

When quizzed about El Shaarawy’s sparkling form earlier this week, Wenger couldn’t help but confess his admiration for the 20-year-old, admitting he is a classic Arsenal player.

‘El Shaarawy is a very mobile, very technical young player. His philosophy fits perfectly with mine,’ Wenger told Eurosport.

Link. Can't see Milan letting him go or vice versa

There is a greater chance of Jesus descending down from heaven this Christmas to clear the world of war and starvation than there is of Arsenal signing El Shaarawy.

Or El Shaarawy leaving Milan. I remember reading an Article of him saying it is his dream to play at Milan, and he doesn't care about $$.

This is how I would see it

Podolski - Walcott
Honda
Cazorla - Arteta - Wilshere
Gibbs - Mertesacker - Ver - Sagna

I prefer Diamond, but I think I would want flat to take advantage of our pace on the sides. Also I have Arteta in the mid because of his defensive role. While I would want Wilshere focusing strictly on attacking.

Evilo, Moussa Sissoko is out of contract in the summer right? Good buy on what should be a reduced price because of that?

Sissoko will be a great buy, but there's still no telling how this guy's going to evolve. He can be world class one game, and run like a headless chicken the next.
I'd like to see him in a different environment, but in Toulouse, they have on paper something really interesting, but they can't translate it into any kind of consistency (Capoue, Tabanou, Sissoko, Riviere, Ben Yedder, M'Bengue, etc...).

EDIT : Couple of things more.
The guy is only 23 but has already close to 200 Ligue 1 games under his belt. That's worth noting. He also has 6 NT caps I think.
Plenty of teams are trying to get him for next summer. Juventus, Milan, Wolfsburg, Newcastle, Liverpool, Everton, etc...

This. He's the ONLY redeeming player on this club.

Concerning. It's pretty much guaranteed done considering the sources now reporting. I think we fall into this trap of paying way too much for potential, but we've had only two 10m plus signings come off in the last four years. Coupled with this is once again paying WAY too much for a British player.

Tom Ince will be done soon for 4m, btw. If these signings don't turn out to be productive we're screwed.

Loic Remy linked with Newcastle but any player rumored to move will be linked with some club (youre welcome for defining "rumor").

Id welcome any help and depth but not necessarily at the expense of current in-form players...sorry, player.

This is exactly trap we were talking about in the GWT, no? I don't rate Sturridge and thought the rumors of £12 were too high. I really, really hope I am wrong on this. We really lack room for error anywhere based on spending capabilities but particularly up front.

Trading Sturridge leaves only Torres as striker

Could mean that someone is coming in without Torres going

Pretty much goes hand in hand with the news of Falcao to Chelsea being done

Liverpool.

They shouldn't spend another cent on anybody from England.

For 10 I'm not upset. I think there is a lot better to be had, but he does have some upside and fits a need. Ince for less than 4 with the 35% isn't bad.

It better not be it.
