Well at least they are trying to help him out and Smith if anyone should be able to at least teach him the finer points of being a reliable defensive defenceman with superb positioning.

Noesen ejected for leaving his feet to hit Tyler Hore. With the way Branch does things he's probably in line for a 10 game ban.

Was it a hit to the head or an attempt to target the head? If so he is gone for a while.

More of a boarding/hit from behind that he sort of jumped into. Looks like he may have gotten away with it though.

I heard an interview with him recently. Main points:

-He still has headaches, but they aren't quite as bad as they used to be.

-Hasn't been on the ice and can't do intense off-ice workouts.

-Recently started getting on the stationary bike at Ottawa's insistence. Has been to Ottawa a few times and appreciates the help they're giving him with his recovery.

So Noesen gets 10.
Will those games count while he is on Team USA camp?

Team USA would appeal. My point was the games he missed while at the tourney would not count towards the suspension.

I also believe if BM felt the tourney was best for Noesen (doubtful after the Zibby incident) he could use the fact the CHL/NHL agreement is off since it was tied to the CBA and could call him up to the AHL then ship him off to Team USA.

ok.

But I'm sure BM wants Noesen in WJC instead of OHL. Not even a question.

If Bryan Murray thinks Noesen playing in the WJC would be best for him, which it clearly would be. He would be making it public by maneuvering Noesen into the WJC as you suggested.

He shouldn't have to apologize for it, both prospects are in different situations. Zibby AHL or WJC, Noesen CHL or WJC. Zibby, been there done that, scored the winner. Noesen, never been there.

I find it kind of funny that before the season started many thought we'd see......

Zibanejad
Wikstrand
Noesen
Ceci
Puempel

Represent the Sens at the WJC. Only Wikstrand left

lol it kinda sucks but so many factors...

And I don't think many projected Wikstrand to be there so that's even more ironic

Zibanejad not going is a Sens management decision
Noesen is suspended
Ceci and Puempel would be there if there was a NHL season... Canada has just too much depht

Is that a given? Only Hamilton would be lost from D?

I'd be impressed if you could find me 3, let alone many, who thought they'd see Wikstrand at the WJC.

I remember seeing on draft day when we picked him he was likely to play...or at least I thought.

Maybe you read this: http://www.the6thsens.com/2012-artic...wikstrand.html

His goal-scoring this year is a bit of a surprise but his WJC inclusion is not.

Based on his play thus far, could Wiercioch be ready for a 5-7 spot on the Sens?

Given what the options are, I think he should be on the team as it stands right now for sure. Ideally, our big club D would be better and he'd continue to play well for Bingo, though.
