I like TSN's comparison to Anze Kopitar. If Galchenyuk can improve his defensive game like Kopita rhas in recent years, i can see him becoming a similar play.

Galchenyuk was one of the best defensive forwards drafted last year.

Gally nets the hattrick goal to go along with 2 assists vs kingston in the final game before the break. One point back of strome for the OHL points lead.

I try not to get to excited about this prospect, but for once, I think the Habs can finally count on a world class talent.

I don't know if it's going to be that much of a happening. Galchenyuk isn't all that popular for casual fans... Almost an unknown. Casual fans in Montréal are more interested in upcoming quebecer talents. The biggest hype for a prospect I can remember post lock-out is Latendresse.

Yeah that I know. Galchenyuk will undoubtedly make a name for himself. I just don't see him coming into the league with a ton of hype.

No way. The hype will be huge. He's a top 3 pick, most casual fans know about him already.

It's going to be a massive deal, especially if he does well at the WJC.

He's not all that talked about right now in the media. Not on RDS, nor in the newspaper... I don't know, maybe it'll change once the lockout is over, but as of right now, Galchenyuk is barely talked about.

Once hockey starts, the media will hype him up for sure.

Right now there isn't much hockey to talk about that's why no one really talks about him.

There's just no way talent like this can sneak its way into Montreal when hockey is so covered here usually

He will be talked about for sure if and when the team fails, in order to call him up. That would be the media just doing its job.
