FWIW - There were 3,400 free tix available to 12/17 ECHL Bulls vs. Stockton game at HP once STHs got theirs. All were gone in 5 minutes.

People's reactions on Facebook are pretty hilarious. I can't believe the sense of entitlement some people have. Especially all the Stockton fans chiming in. Geeze people. I guess lack of hockey at HP has really put people in a sour mood.

oh dang, guess I was hugely lucky. For some reason, I was put on a ticket holder list with the bulls and they gave me a link on Monday to request two tickets. The odd thing is that it said you had to be at least a 6 game holder and I only bought the November 3-game plan (two seats). The pair of tickets will be at will call for me.

I didn't get onto ticketmaster until 11am (to grab some tickets for our troop) but obviously, they sold out by then. Oh well, got two and it saves us a trip to the Cow Palace for another game. Looking forward to it.

It's really not that hard to get tickets, Sharks playoff games included. You just need to be refreshing the site at 10am. I've never struck out online.

Ended up with a choice of 4 in 224 row2 or 3 in 216 row 8. Took the 4.

That is so not true. Luck is a big part of it. Can't tell ya how many times I've struck out on hot concert tickets or playoff tickets even when I refresh exactly at 10am. Though sometimes people let their tickets time out and you can get some like half an hour later.

Though I was in luck yesterday as I scored 4 tickets in section 109.

Doherty had surgery to repair a sliced Achilles’ tendon and will be out for a while. Sucks for him 'cus he was starting to play well.

Come to the Cow Palace

Not enough of you seem willing to make the drive

If you love hockey enough you will

The hockey is good, not NHL caliber, but very watchable.

Help this team by putting some assets in the seats, most games are on weekends

About 2,000 fans, along with Mike Ricci and Wayne Thomas, were at last nights game, and saw a spirited comeback by the home team, and an overtime victory. The club has a winning record at home, they deserve some support.

Don't wait for the NHL

Drive the 35 miles and support the SF Bulls!

Hey guys,

Between Irwin, Acolatse, Tennyson and Doherty who's the most NHL-ready D-man? Any of those expected to get a spot duty in your D whenever NHL resumes? Also who has the most potential to be a top-4 NHL D-man, if any.

Thanks.

Acolatse and Tennyson are probably the closest to being NHL ready and if the season started tomorrow and both Braun and Burns weren't able to play those two would likely fight for a spot on the opening night roster...right now I'd give the edge to Acolatse but Tennyson looks to be a good UFA signing and could get spot duty in the NHL if there's a season as well.

In my opinion, right now, Doherty still has the most upside but he's also the least likely to reach that upside. I don't think Irwin has much of a chance to be anything more than a "cup of coffee" NHLer.

If the NHL season were to start tomorrow (and presuming his injury is not serious) my guess is it's Irwin up first, followed by Acolatse and Tennyson. Doherty is likely going to miss significant time with an achilles injury so he's probably not available. Irwin's max is probably a 5-6, while both Acolatse and Tennyson could sneak into 3-4 roles when it's all said and done.

Despite his vastly improved play earlier this season I'm still not buying Doherty just yet.

Agree with 1st paragraph 100%, and maybe to add to this, it depends on who gets injured and what kind of role needs to be filled.

The sample size is a bit small, but I do feel like Doherty turned a corner. I hope when he comes back he can continue doing exactly what he was doing.

Has Sheppard looked like an NHL player out there? And how is Tennyson defensively?

Sheppard looks like an NHLer about 50-60% of the time...

Tennyson's defensive game is fine, it's not great but he can certainly hold his own.

Sheppard definitely shows NHL-caliber skill in the offensive zone, but between a below-average defensive game, infuriating stick penalties, and overall lack of interest, I don't think he's a legit NHL player. Tennyson has his moments defensively, but defensive play is certainly the thing he most has to work on. Still, I really like Tennyson and I think he has a future as a sheltered #5-6 defenseman who gets a solid amount of PP time.

Presuming he comes right back to where he was when he got hurt he's still nowhere near ready.
