This is why Kadri is so valuable. The guy draws like 2 penalties a game...and that's huge. Even if he doesn't put up stellar numbers, and is just average, that's still huge. The Leafs actually have a pretty good powerplay, and getting a couple of extra chances a game...is huge.

Marlies are getting sloppy and taking too many penalties. They need to hold off for 1.30 more.

Rynnas with 3 shutouts in 5 games. 1.58 GAA, .948 SV%
Jussi played really solid this game.

goalies are so weird.
Rynnas has been absolutely dominant this year.
gives a flicker of hope that he might be a legit prospect after, especially if you consider that big goalies sometime take longer to sharpen their technique.

Helps that he isn't a kid, and he's had time to develop.

Played in the SM-liiga 2005-2006 season.
Being 25 is a good age as a goalie prospect and probably good that he only arrived in North America 2010 as a 23 year old or people would be losing patience with him.

He's a scout's dream in the way he prepares himself and plays an unselfish game, making smart decisions with the puck. With his bloodlines, he certainly understands what it will take to make it at the next level.

Most of those are true prospects or young NHL players, not AHL veterans like Aucoin. Bolduc.

Well, at least we have 2 true prospects up there. Jake Gardiner is also 10th in scoring for defensemen and tied for 2nd in goals.
What worries me is the development of blacker seems to have slown to a crawl and both Colborne and Ashton have regressed considerably.

Maybe it will let some of the younger guys get more playing time.
No worries about Kadri, he's a 3rd. year pro. We know what he can bring.

But while he's in the AHL, he should keep playing better and better. The last thing he needs is a set back or a minor injury that slows him down.

Ashton was amazing today.
I also liked what I saw from McKegg. Working his ass off every shift.
