$30 - $45,000?!

The aquaracer I got from the VIP store at pokerstars is $3,000 or so.
The reason why I'm unrelenting on the Cartier watch is because Cartier watches like Rolex watches retain their value well.

It's not like I'm going to go grocery shopping with a Cartier with rings of diamonds around it

2 times in the last 2 months, people have tried to rob me.

The Cartier ballon is in that range.

OH $30K. Okay.
LOL

I was like... even replicas cost more than that!
The stainless steel ones actually starts around $5K but the roman numerals need to be contrasted for it to look good. The outer rings of gems plus the contrast of the white leather band makes the roman numerals look just nice.

Me too, and that was my point. I want my watch to be nice enough to wear to dinner with the CEO at my next job and casual enough to wear with jeans to the supermarket. Not that I'm against owning multiple watches - I already do just not as nice - but it's not about needing the watch to serve both functions, it's that it's a lot more fresh, IMO, to have the look be understated and versatile.

I agree, I guess its my personality to not be flashy. There is a difference in looking nice and over-doing it

Nah I don't like those glasses on guys. Girls who can rock them look hot as ****. Guys shouldn't wear them unless in a jocular manner, such as Kane in the All-Star Shootout.

And my post was more in reference to watches being for fashion, rather than telling time. No one buys a $30K watch to tell time.

LOL I know. I tried to get a seat for 1 at Le Bernadin's last time a week in advance (coincidentally it was a weekend) and it was a big fat nope.

I'd imagine it's only worse at Daniel's.
Dunno if you guys saw my FB post about my chat with Pokerstars RG Team exec. early this upcoming week but that's where I'm at.

The other time I was in NYC, Le Bernadin was under construction. I was fascinated with Eric Ripert.
