Looks like a solid pool of players. I wonder why they always leave Axel Holmström out. I remember him as one of the better players in TV-pucken a couple of years ago. There is nothing wrong with his numbers this year either.

Really exciting group of forwards..

Axel Holmström was on the northern U17 elite camp one month ago, so it's not like he's outside the radar or anything like that.

Yes it is strange why they leave him out always, now he is in shared lead for points in J18 North. I heard something about Skating/Pace though

Scored most points in TV-pucken 2011. The line with Holmström, Mäkitalo and Isak Stenlund-Ädelgran were essential to Västerbottens victory.

Holmström and ISÄ have impressed me a tad more in J18 with their overall play, but it's not very often you come across such a natural goalscorer like Mäkitalo. Reminds me a bit of Zibanejad in that he can sometimes disappear in games only to show up and score the GWG.

These guys are as tall as the players on the WJC squad and only 3 kg's lighter. Are there any surprises?

Yeah, I noticed Mäkitalo was missing. Also, Timashov made the team without participating in the camp.

Yea, I wonder if Rasmus Andersson really weights 95kg tho, I don't think he looks that big, and generally 95kg for a 16 year old kid at 182 isn't something you see every day. Either he's extremely physically mature or he's carrying a load of over weight. He just does not look that big to me, I think these stats should be taken with a grain of salt.

He's extremely thick and physically mature, I know that much. 95 sounds like a stretch, and he doesn't look taller than those cm's either right now.

Today's game against Canada West free @ fasthockey.com. Game starts 19.30.

At least Sweden won the shot totals 38-30 against Ontario. Should be able to have a tighter score next time. First time with some new angles for the goalies, too. Ontario scored three goals on five shots in the third..

Team Ontario is stacked, 96 born players in Canada are exceptional with one extra-exceptional talent in 97 born McDavid.

I really miss Petter Mäkitalo. Kid's a scoring machine.

Edit: And shouldn't Oliver Kylington be on the team?

Sure Canada has silly good depth, but it's just a regional team(the best of them, mind you). This is a strong age group for Sweden that should be able to hold their own, even if some guys are missing. It was the first game ever on small ice for most of these guys I reckon.

I can't really help you, Kempe might've played early in the game(or it was #27 Törnqvist I saw)..

I struggled to keep track on who was on the ice, let alone track the lines. Looked like Nylander, Forsbacka-Karlsson, Franzen, A.Karlsson, Lindblom, Timashov might've been playing the scoring lines. Guys I didn't see much were Kempe, Gunnarsson and Kovacs.

I'm pretty sure Nylander played with Timashov and Lindblom. And I think A. Karlsson played with Forsbacka-Karlsson. Franzén C on another line.

Anton Karlsson is an interesting player. Mean, aggressive and skilled.

I heard the commentators mentioning Kovacs (I think) - didn't see him though, was pretty hard to see the numbers of the players on stream unless they directly turned their back at the camera.

It'll be exciting seeing Saarela and Nättinen tonight, team west wasn't exactly stacked name-wise.
