Seriously going for the old pro model is the best thing to do when getting new skates, you get a top of the range skate for a much cheaper price, it's what I've always done.

I bought a CCM blue hockey bag recently after about 11 years with my old Itech bag. I also have my eye on a pair of Reebok 16K skates, but $400 is a little too rich for me at the moment. I'll wait until after the holidays.

Got myself the Krown 360 helmet... Very snug, a bit tight on my forehead but I'm sure I'll adjust soon!

My Tron S30 visor is a treat on my helmet!

Ordered myself some EQ50 skates as well, for $230 from hockeyworld. They're currently with a mate in Texas who'll send them over soon

Picked up 2 Widows with Gionta pattern, 8K Pro shins, 85s pants, 11K shins. Think I'm pretty good for a while.

Skated with the Skatefenders for the first time last night. Didnt even notice they were there.

Didnt take any pucks off them so cant say how they work.

Just picked up a pair of Vapor X:40 SE gloves. Anyone know what palm this is? Its not the same as the standard Vapor 40s as I have a pair of those, and this is much more thin.

Agree with both of you guys. I have the X60 pros and they look identical.

Great feel, not all that durable. After about a year mine have a hole in the thumb.

Im going to switch between these and my others to try to keep them usable for a while. Maybe Ill use these for games and the regular 40s for pickup/stick and puck.

Using them for the first time this Friday, interested to see what the difference in puck feel is.

Bought CCM U+12 Gloves at Sportchek for $80 after tax. Really good deal as they're cheaper than Hockeymonkey etc. Came in midnight black too which I didnt think you could get on U+12 so that was an added bonus.

Those gloves are ridiculously good. Pro level gloves are based more off of the U+12 or U+08 design rather than the CL. They do need time to break in though.

I've been eyeing them for a while. The sale price made the decision even easier. I rather have the plastic inserts than the U foam anyways. Weight isnt a huge difference and they both feel the same. Have a game tonight so we'll see how they go.

Thank goodness for whoever created ebay

I sent it to a mask refurbisher and paid him to do all the work. Sent it to Keeps33 on GSBB if you know who that is.

I think he used a saw to get rid of all the rusted screws
Sanded the mask down
Added Primer
Added Paint
Added Clearcoat
Repadded the interior.

Voila.
