His goal-scoring this year is a bit of a surprise but his WJC inclusion is not.
That was it!

**** man. Noesen was gonna show everyone how he is supposed to be in talks with the best prospects in the game. I'm so pissed man. He plays his best when the pressure is on.

Oh I don't even know... I don't follow very closely this year so I only assumed it based on others comments

@ScubaShteve93: Goodluck to the fellas who travel to Finland tomorrow. Early flight back home this morning."

The US team is beyond retarded, their offence is already depleted and now they lost another top 6.

I almost don't give a crap about this WJC at this point. I will watch it but won't get up in the early morning for it.

IIHF upheld the suspension.

That feisty ability for Noesen is what gives him that extra BOOM when combined with his surprisingly soft hands and strong puck possession game. Just hopefully more legal hits next time...

He left his feet, and you could say he was guilty of charging. But 10 games?

David Branch...

I don't think he gives out suspension lower than 10 games..

Noesen actually has great hands and a pretty good head to play with skilled players unlike Foligno.

Despite his Cy Young totals this year, he is generally considered a better playmaker than scorer. His offensive abilities are really, quite rounded. Even his coach noted in an interview earlier this year, that he is still setting up just as many opportunities for his linemates, but they just haven't been burying them this year. Yet.

Sucks that he will miss the WJC, but really won't hamper his development in a major way.

I really am pretty surprised that hit caused a 10-gamer though. Not a hit to the head OR from behind. He left his feet and deserved a penalty, but otherwise, a pretty fair hit.

Sorry but Foligno has zero playmaking abililties. Noesen has pretty solid hockey sense.

I'd say your comparison is a little off.

Not that I think Noesen will turn into a Foligno, but Nicky did appear to have some nice hands and hockey sense back in juniors too....he put up a very similar PPG as Noesen on arguably weaker teams.

I've noticed on hockeydb that Baillargeon has switched teams in the USHL. Anyone know the background story on this?

Indiana are rebuilding and traded him to Omaha. They got a lot of assets for a guy going to college next season.

Sometimes the knowledge on this board just astounds me. It seems like we have someone in the know for every high-end league in the world.
