The Angels have to be one of the most overrated franchises in baseball since they won the World Series. What they did in 2002 was nothing short of incredible. Since then, they have more or less done squat and have missed the playoffs several times. The Hamilton signing won't get them where they want to go in my opinion.

They are a bit of a paper tiger, but they also can't be written off. Especially because they are adding Hamilton to an already dangerous group of hitters.

Two years could be interesting. I think he can hold up that long but there's always a risk.
-Dickey for Jays catching prospect Travis d'Arnaud is complete and Dickey gets a 2yr $25m extension from the Jays (solid trade for the Mets, risk factor is great, they just moved a 40yr old with only a handful of yrs left for a catching prospect with strong potential - if d'Arnaud pans out, great trade for the Mets, if not, they didn't give much up)
-From ESPN: By the end of this week, at least a dozen big league pitchers will have padded caps to try out as Major League Baseball looks into ways to improve protection against head injuries from line drives.
The Dickey trade is done now. The Mets also got two other very good prospects besides D'Arnaud (the highest-rated catching prospect out there), Syndergaard (a top SP prospect) and Becerra (an A-ball outfielder), as well as Buck to hold the fort at catcher.
Toronto got two catchers - Thole and Nickeas (lolz) as well as Dickey.
