Even if he doesn't spend time on a line with them, he will still see improved numbers due to the fact that he won't be keyed on as a top offensive player. In Columbus, there are no elite level players ahead of him on the depth chart, and thus he will see more time against the Duncan Keiths, Ryan Suters, and Zdeno Charas of the league.
Dubinsky is a dominant possession player. His 10-11 season was elite when you consider his shot differential against top QUALCOMP. This considerably made his linemates much better when he was on the ice.
The Alaska Aces will be without erstwhile NHL winger Brandon Dubinsky when they open a three-game ECHL home series against the Colorado Eagles on Wednesday night -- and they'll be without him for weeks.
Dubinsky, the team's leading scorer, suffered a broken hand Saturday night in a 6-4 win at Las Vegas that completed a three-game sweep. Dubinsky said he broke his hand -- it's the third time he has broken his right hand in his career -- blocking a shot.
"Pretty brutal,'' he said.
Dubinsky, of Anchorage, leads the team in scoring with 8-4--12 totals in 12 games. A broken hand usually means a player is out 4-6 weeks. Dubinsky said the injury will not require surgery.
I saw both games Lokomotiv with CSKA and I must say that Artem Anisimov played very good btw he especially played against the lines I. Radulov--Grigirenko--A.Radulov/I.Radulov--Zubov--A.Radulov or Grabovski--Datsyuk--Shirokov/Grabovski--Datsyuk--A.Radulov, in the last game Loko win: 4:0 and Artem had 1+2 and he with Varlamov were the star of the game, not Radu, not Datsyuk but he. Great in the defense, very good in the offense, IMO we win the trade for Nash probably.
Best goals of the week. Anisimov's are the 1st and the last.
That #1 goal was pretty sick.
"I don't think I'll live long enough to forgive Howson for knocking off my rose colored glasses. He's a horrible, wretched, little stinker of a man. I just hope he wakes up in the morning and can't poop." -CBJCougar (on the Klesla trade), March 23, 2011
Anisimov plays excelent and if the news --- inside from Yaroslavl is right so if the season wont begin--- Artem will stay in Yaroslavl and wont return in NHL.
Tyutin plays--- simply not extra, not bad but not excelent --- normal like average KHL player-
Nobody with NHL contracts can stay in the KHL if the NHL season starts. That was possible in 2005, but not now. Both leagues are honoring each other's contracts these days. But if this season is cancelled Anisimov won't be back to the NHL for 2013-14 season - his contract expires in 2013. Right now he's playing for his hometown team, he's the best player there, and if he stays in Russia his chances to make the Olympics Russian team in 2014 would be increased.
Tyutin and Nikitin both lead their respective teams in ice-time per game. And Bob has won the starter job for SKA, wich is also could be a problem for the Jackets - Bob's contract expires in 2013 and he could stay in Russia as well as Anisimov.
The best KHL scorer is 2002 Blue Jackets' draft pick. Sergei Mozyakin has 48 points in 30 games and leads by a huge margin, Malkin is 2nd with 41 point in 28 games. But they're playing on the same line.
BTW Anisimov was named the best KHL forward in November.
