Bob, even restrained, understands his market better and gets that the regular Edmonton sports fan wants to talk about hockey, hockey and hockey in that order and we especially want to talk about it when things are bad. Talk radio at its best should be a place to b%*ch and vent about your team.
of course saying all that Stauffer today had these two ditties in his interview with Lowe
"you could of gone to NY why did you ever choose to stay here..."
"Kevin did you ever think you'd know so much about the WHL"
I bet most of the complainers here would be nervous or boring to listen to if they had a radio show. I think the Team 1260 offers solid sports radio with really good special guests.
The only thing I'd like to hear is more variety of sports discussed.

Im sure he answered the questions for Kevin as he likes to do.
Then he segued into which conference was better, the Big East or the Big Ten and finished the interview by stating that Seth Jones hated Canada, and vehemently despises free health care and maple syrup.
Not that it's saying much, but I prefer Gregor of the two, but when it comes to their little spat this evening Gregor comes across as a mega ******.
He takes a jab at a guy for seemingly no reason then essentially calls him a fake tough guy for responding to his garbage?
Yeah I despise Tencer but Gregor came across worse. It happens though, I still think he's the best radio guy in town.

Gregor I've met briefly a couple times over the years, he's just a solid dude. To me he's easily the best sports guy in the city right now.
lol, I was shocked when I first saw Tencer as well. Has the perma rosy cheeks thing going on.
On a separate note, the Strudwick show is gaining momentum! I find myself never missing the late show anymore as him and Majeau always manage to get great guest on ie. Petry, Biznasty, Gagner, Paajarvi, Scott Niedermayer & co.

Problem is Bob doesn't know much about other sports. What would he talk about on a 4 hour show?

Bad hairline or not, Strudwick will end up on TV IMO.
They will probably win more games than the Eskimos next year.
Did you catch your boy John Short on Gregor's show last week? He really likes Kavis Reed as a coach and supports the Hervey hiring as well.

I like Kent Simpson but I wish they'd get Strudwick involved in the Oil Kings broadcasts- more of a realistic possibility.
