Looks like Datsyuk is Really enjoying playing home in Russiua

-It's fantastic, I want to play more. It's an amazing atmosphere and full buildings. I can play here every day.

- My wishes are secret, or else they won't happen.
(Got a question what he hopes as far as the lockout goes)

I think he hopes there won't be an nhl-season so he can enjoy this one fully, then play the final year of his contract in detroit then head back home again

Or his wishes could be to join the Wings with Radulov. Whoever knows.

Why not build a new Russian five about those greatest KHL Russians, that haven't seen the NHL? Ilya Nikulin is the best defenceman out of NHL at the moment. He's their National Captain in latest tournaments even with the greatest NHL star power there. Nikulin is just great overall defenceman. Shoots, passes, skates well, defends well, big. Also Sergei Mozyakin has been the best scorer in short KHL history, just a Brett Hull type right handed sniper, scores from anywhere with a great playmaker.

Mozyakin - Datsyuk - Radulov
Nikulin - Marchenko

Just get them here with the old way, money is the power. That community would keep Pavel here.

I agree and I said it during all those great world championship runs by Russia...Nikulin is scary good and it's just sad the world outside russia never got to see his skills other than in international tournaments

Radulov has long-term deal with CSKA. Mozyakin is not good on the small ice. Talented scorer, but way too soft. Nikulin would be good. But I'm not sure if he wishes to play in the NHL. I know that Atlanta tried for years to convince him to play in the NA. Marchenko is at least 2-3 years away from NHL.

Yes, like he had a deal with Preds. Has Mozaykin had enough chances to show his best in a smaller rink?

Would be a wicked line, that never comes true. But to be honest, that could work with a leader
such as Pav is. But they're getting already paid for what they're doing and such change in their lives
would be way too much to adapt in a whole new world.

And it's Christhmas time, so I did a little sneak peek of our beloved member during his vacation in Europe.

He is soft even by European standards. Everybody knows that in Russia. Plus, outside of scoring he offers nothing. He has no two-way game, he can't handle psychical battles. He is utterly useless when not playing on the scoring line.

So Mozyakin is not NHLer. Despite being more talented than many other players who are. There are just some players who are very talented, but can't do ***** on the small ice where game is faster and hitting is harder and more common. Weinhandl is another good example. Morozov was also a lot better on the big ice. Heck... even Radulov, who right now doesn't look much worse than Datsyuk, Kovalchuk, etc.

I miss him so much

I'm a little annoyed that Datsyuk makes a perfectly legal hit and the guy gets indignant about it. Like, "You dared to hit me while I had the puck and was trying to score? In a HOCKEY GAME?"

Bummed he'll have two seasons of his NHL career wiped out due to a lock out.

Yeah, that was well said. You don't see very often an European player with such toolbox in NA But my opinion was based on the fact that he has never had a real chance to change his playstyle for a smaller rink. It's just all about adapting and at his age it would be way too difficult so you are right aswell.

But anyhow, back to topic. Nice to see Pav bring some toughness on table! Somehow I've been missing the physical aspect of the game that bigger rink just can't provide.

And actually, thumbs up for Artuykhin not to loose his calm totally since it was a stellar hit.

That was Arty's inner Duck coming out.

Datsyuk is the pinnacle hockey player. Does EVERYTHING.

But in all fairness.. was Artyukhin REALLY a scoring threat... really?

Still, GREAT play.

Is it just me, or do Radulov and Datsyuk seem to have a decent camaraderie in Russia?
