The Eagles should try and mold themselves into what the 9ers have right now.

To be fair, had the Eagles been playing in NE today they'd never sniff the lead. Hell, they got their doors blown off by the Pats last year at home. But yeah, Niners just had this game go off the rails. I love football.

Hard hitting. Tough defense. Strong wrs and rbs. You know, a team that isn't "soft".

Let's just not pretend like that happened over night. They were a sub-.500 team for 8 straight seasons (ok, they had ONE season where they went 8-8), and had lots of high draft picks wasted by terrible head coaching decisions. While I would love to have a team that wasn't "soft" again, let's not be under any delusions this is going to happen over night. Rebuilding a team is a difficult process, and it fails a hell of a lot more often than it succeeds.

Well I mean build a defense the way they did. Not saying be as good as them. But work on getting a tough defense.

Even with the gift of great field position, I knew the Jets would still lose. I figured it would be another Sanchez pick, but the fumbled snap was a hilarious surprise.

The Birds are still around a decent pick given the records after today.

I think I will assume that Jax gets #1 overall this year with Oakland and the Eagles right after.

KC and Cleveland should be in the mix

Isn't Cleveland 5-9? I forgot about KC, though. You're right. I can see Cleveland winning at least one more, they've shown great improvement.

If NFL.com has them in the correct order, they'd be picking 3rd as of right now.

They would be 4th as Oakland has a worse SOS.

Still a possibility of getting a guy like Te'o (who is who I want them to take). Are there any real "can't miss" OL or DL guys coming out this year? Would be great if they can **** the bed again next year and wind up with Clowney, assuming he leaves early.

EDIT: Ideal scenario for me is with their top three picks they can grab Te'o from ND, Barkley from USC, and Greene from Rutgers. I doubt they go for Greene if they take Te'o in the first, but I have a soft spot for him because of the Rutgers connection. If Barkley falls into the second round (which I think is a good possibility), I could see them walking out with Te'o and Barkley realistically.

Joeckel is the only Offensive Lineman worth that high of a pick.
Lots of high end defensive lineman though.

Joeckel has been compared favorably to Joe Thomas and Matt Kalil. Other than him, we'd have to go defense. Jarvis Jones plays a lot like Von Miller on the edge. Te'o projects well at MLB as does Lutulelei/Hankins at DT. After that, you're likely to see mock drafts have a ton of deviation. This draft is incredibly weak in terms of offensive skill positions.... even the QBs compare poorly to recent years.

If the Eagles got Jones or Joeckel, we would definitely be improved. Other than that, I'm just not sure we'd be getting a star player.

I don't care about getting the highest pick possible. Damaging the Redskins playoff hopes is more satisfying for me.

I'd rather see the Giants & Cowboys chances of playoffs being damaged. So that either requires all 3 NFC East teams losing today, or the Skins winning. I think the chance of the Skins winning today is better than everyone but the Eagles losing.

Another late fourth quarter drive engineered by Andrew Luck to win the game. Hands down ROY.

I agree with you but seriously doubt that's the direction the voters go

This year is amazing when you think about the rookies. Luck, RG3, Wilson, Morris. Any of those guys would be a favorite in many, many years.
