Honestly, what someone needs to do is beat EA to the market and create a browser-based GM-connected mode. Would be an instant success.

Absolutely going to buy this, hopefully it's still coming out in late 2012?

Id love to see limited/Modified NTC like in the NHL...e.g. can list 5 teams will not accept a trade to.....or NTC is effect year 3 of contract only..

overall...i like to have all options available to me in contract negociations.

I've played the demo for one of their games. It seems very detailed. Like, ridiculously so. But I don't understand the advanced baseball stats so I didn't have a clue what was going on.

Just heard about the game today from this thread. I am extremely excited! I've spent countless hours on NHL EHM 2007 and several hours editing the player database manually. THANK YOU for making this game!!

Most likely similar to EHM, or look into OOTP to get a feel, OOTP in my opinion is even better than Football manager as the best sports sim on the market.

As far as playable leagues, I'm pretty sure it will be NHL, AHL, CHL and most relevant Euro leagues.

Any hard evidence that this game is moving forward? I'm tired of NHL 13 and would love a modern sim a la EHM 2007. I think there's a big market out there for those turned off by EA's failed attempts at a GM sim and those that follow leagues outside of the NHL.

According to the website, they are still looking at an early 2013 release. It might be timed nicely for the start of the NHL season

Interesting. I could have swore they were going to release it in late 2012.

I first noticed this back in Mid-October, and at that time they were saying late-2012/early 2013, it looks like it's been pushed back at least a bit. I'd rather wait for a complete game, than struggle through a glichty game, so I'm not too upset .

I am hopeful it will come out by at the latest Mar 1, 13. If it's not released by then I imagine they would push it until Aug 13, possibly adding some more features.

Just came to post this.

I am excited to play this game. I know with the OOTP staff it will make EHM look like child's play.

I will for sure buy this game but I think at the end of the day I might end up still playing EHM more just out of comfort but then again, this might be really easy to get into and it might be just tons of new fun.

Also, as a developer... if a release date is for "late 2012"... don't expect it at least til early-mid 2013 at the earliest.

If it even closely resembles OOTP, you'll forget about EHM in an instant.

Yeah, it's also far, far ahead on the development curve.
My point is, don't expect FHM to be OOTP hockey from the get-go.

Not yet.

There will be more playable leagues in the future, and you should be able to create whatever league you want.
