This is done every few months, and my answer is/was always Pleks.

Plekanec, he's a better playmaker, overall better defensively, a better faceoff man and a better cap hit.

Grabovski is a better goal scorer. Both are gritty smallish centers. But Pleks has more to offer.

But saying all those things, he is not miles ahead of Grabovski as the poll seems to suggest.

I don't really see the poll as suggesting that. It asks who is the better player, and the unanimous response is Plekanec. It doesn't mean that Plekanec is miles ahead, it means 100 people think he's better. This poll says nothing about the margin of victory.

We know Pollsters say in an election, take margin of victory as a measure of a close race or a decisive win, it's natural to look at a 86% to 14% differential and conclude player x is a much better player than player z.

I would expect this type of result from a Bergeron type C, but not Plekanec, even as I said I would take Plekanec for the reasons I stated. I can still see some people wanting Grabovski.

He's got a 70 points season under his belt and imo he's one of the best defensive forwards in the game. A real PK specialist.

Never understand why people say this.

It's either one player is better or the other is. There is a right answer and a wrong one.

In this case the right answer is Plekanec and it shouldn't be close.
