I'm pretty sure we're enforcing Shea Weber's 1-year no trade. The Preds matched the offersheet on the 24th of July, so theoretically, Weber can't be traded till after the free agency starts in this game.

It's a family reunion in Raleigh, as Marc Staal is the newest member of the Carolina Hurricanes!
Jeff Skinner
Justin Faulk
Victor Rask
Marc Staal
Carl Hagelin
Rights to Mats Zuccarello
2013 NYR 4th
We're ecstatic to unite Marc with his brothers Eric and the recently-acquired Jordan, and we look forward to the three of them excelling together to help bring championship hockey back to North Carolina!
It does hurt to lose a player like Jeff Skinner, but we feel that the addition of Jordan meant a opportunity to focus on other areas we feel needed work. Marc not only comes in already as family, but he also brings with him a top-tier defensive style that will work wonders against our foes in the Southeast.
Carl Hagelin will step right in as a top-nine winger, having come off an impressive rookie season. And we will work hard to bring Mats Zuccarello back to North American ice, offering him an opening night roster spot should he choose to give NHL hockey another shot.
We wish Jeff, Victor and Justin all the best in New York.

The Rangers confirm. We wish Marc, Carl and Mats luck in Carolina. We are very excited to have added a ton of skill to our team with Faulk and Skinner to an already very impressive lineup
Washington is incredibly stoked to add Dave Bolland to the organization. What can we say about him that isn't widely known? He's a gritty heart and soul type that's full of piss and vinegar. He shuts down top players and gets under their skin. He's the epitome of a playoff performer and a Stanley Cup winner. In short, he's exactly what the Capitals have been searching for to boost their playoff success.
Niklas Hjalmarrson provides us with a younger no-nonsense defensive stalwart to couple with Mike Green. We're very excited about our versatile Top-4 of Alzner - Carlson and Hjalmarrson - Green.
Philip Danault adds to our prospect depth down the middle and you'll fall in love with him shortly this World Junior Championships.
Love this trade for the Caps. Bolland is much better then Johansson right now. Hjalmarrson is miles better then Schultz, hell, I'm miles better then Schultz. And Neuvirth doesn't matter since Holtby is the Caps franchise goaltender. Great trade.
TRADE BLOCK :
F Nail Yakupov (only for a young proven top pairing defenseman or a young proven top 6 center with high potential)
F Ales Hemsky (only if Yakupov isn't traded)
F Sam Gagner (only if another young center is acquired before)
F Eric Belanger
F Linus Omark
D Ryan Whitney
D Andy Sutton
D Theo Peckham
D Corey Potter
G Nikolai Khabibulin
G Devan Dubnyk
Most picks (except our 2013 1st round pick)
Most prospects
NEEDS :
Young proven top pairing defenseman
Young proven top 6 center
Young proven goaltender PM!
Could also keep things simple and trade Hemsky and Whitney for futures (quality before quantity).

Now that's terrible...
Faulk by himself may be as good as Staal and you add Skinner on top of that?
I get the brotherly love but that's more than an overpayment there. Good job Rangers!
