I think if he was still there around 15, you'd get a team like the Jets or Cowboys overpaying and trading up to get him. But man I'd love it if he was still there for us at 19.

Bears playoff hopes are slimmer then I thought even if they finish 10-6 with Cowboys lurking in picutre

Bears lose playoff spot if both Giants and Cowboys both go 2-0 to end year

Giants would win WC , Cowboys would win Div if they both finish 10-6

Since Cowboys/Skins play in wk 17 one of them is guaranteed a W so our hopes really depend on the games next week as the Giants have a easy game week 17 (Vs awful Eagles)

This weekend

Giants vs Ravens
Saints vs Cowboys
Skins vs Eagles

SKins will win , Cowboys should win ,, Season could depend on Ravens playing well this weekend

Bears because of losses to Min/Sea really have crippled themselves in most tiebreakers

Giants/Skins both have tiebreakers over Bears as well

Why the hell did they even sign him? Is the hate for all the attention he gets for not doing anything? Ryan makes no sense.

Definitely think he'll be there if they are picking at 19

Getting into the playoffs will only have negative effects on this team long term.

Even worse, they actually gave up a 4th and 6th round pick for Tebow and a 7th rounder.

They traded for him to grab media attention because the Giants SB win was talk of town and the circus that is NY Jet organization was jealous

Also in other Jet news ,, Jet fan threatens to shoot up Jets practice facility if Sanchez shows up to practice on Wed via Twitter

NFL security investigating and police likely to be involved as well

Other threats were made by the fan against Sanchez during night as well

So you created a huge distraction for the team and starting QB for a guy that you will never play. Everyone from the GM down needs to be fired over there.

I've totally done a 180 on the Bears. Now I hope the Giants, Cowboys, and Skins win. I don't want them to make the playoffs. I want the Bears to lose out and wind up with a pick around 13-15. Making the playoffs and getting bounced would be terrible.

I'm in the boat as well. They stand zero advancing in the playoffs. Might as well go for the epic collapse and change.

Considering that it is no sure thing that Lovie is fired ,, Wishing to miss playoffs might be foolish as they could miss and Lovie remains

Virgina didn't fire Wanny after 97 ,, Not sure given money owed to Lovie that she will follow thru even if they miss playoffs

So I would rather hold out what slim hope we have for playoffs because I can see a situation in which we miss and Lovie stays

1997 was a long time ago. Emery isn't going to take the job if he has 0 input as to who his coach is. They aren't going to bring Lovie back on the last year of his contract after missing the playoffs 5 of the last 6 seasons.

Bears won't ever be able to compete with Packers as long as Rodgers is QB. How many more years does he have?

Don't buy this. Rodgers isn't winning SB's every year. Just need to build a solid team.

worst case scenario would be making the playoffs and somehow winning a game.

Guaranteed 3 year extension for Lovie in that scenario.

Too much whispering about Todd Hailey being one of the names Emery would consider. That would be so bad.

Yeah, it would be horrible if your "favorite team" made the playoffs and won... Considering they would be on a 3 game win streak then and have a little momentum, that would be awful.

Yeah, Hailey is a hack, if we have to do that, keep Lovie and put him in as OC. Still a horrible outcome though.

Teams can rebuild while winning. Other teams in the league manage to stay good year after year.
