I like what Emery has done but I'm not in love with it, Marshall was a no brainer and he is already here now. I'd have no problem with firing him and bringing in Saban as GM/HC, I like shocking moves like that and love Saban but no out clause, period.

you can't rebuild with Smith as your coach. he can't evaluate players, can't pick decent assistants, and sucks at making adjustments. he's also coached the bears to a record well below.500 against winning teams and a 15-19 record so far in the last 4 games of the season. not to mention, were now in his 9th season and the bears have had an offense ranked top half of the league 1 time, and it was 15th. there's been nothing but regression since he took over

Not like Rodgers absolutely destroyed us in either game this year...the Bears' defense played pretty well against that offense in both games and kept it close...just our offense couldn't do anything to help.

no thanks on Saban. he wins on the recruiting trail. his teams are well coached and disciplined, but also extremely vanilla. he's also a flake and flopped in the nfl already

He also is getting offered 100 Mil over 10 years.

I'm up for the Boom Bust chance with Chip Kelly though.

I am not a fan of Haley but he isn't as bad as he is made out to be and the Chiefs have been a wreck ever since they fired him

If Bears actually got a proven guy then Gruden would be my preference

If Bears go with 1st time coach ,, Then Jay Gruden would be high on list for Bears to interview

I expect Bears to bring in Perry Fewell from Giants

It would be typical

- Defensive guy (Runs 4-3 in NY)
- Has ties to Bears (Was an assistant here)
- Has same emotionless/no confrontation style as Lovie

All I know is hiring another defensive guy to be HC would be disaster. The Bears have to join the modern NFL and have a modern offense

I'd be happy with the Bears picking 32.

I've heard the names Josh McDaniels, Haley, Bill O'Brien, and Chip Kelly thrown around.

No doubt in my mind Lovie gets at least another year if we don't make the playoffs. You really have to look at the overall body of work and it is relatively decent.

McDaniels would never work ,, Unless he somehow convinced Cutler/Marshall to forget the past and his style of coaching (Much like Haley) is too in your face ,, DOesn't work well in NFL

O'Brien is just another overated coach off the Bellicheck tree ,, Should avoid him at all costs

Kelly is hotshot college coach who wants personel power were ever he goes (Emery wont agree to that)

I'm all but certain he's gone if they don't get to the playoffs. He has a year left on his deal, but coaches in the NFL don't ever coach into their last year. He either gets a year extension this offseason or he is fired. And I can't see them giving him more money once this tank job is complete.

His body of work kinda sucks since 06. One playoff appearance

No, the body of work is a .500 team that can't win in the playoffs the few times they get there, enough with it, guy dodges bullets like he is in the matrix.

In no way should Bill O'Brien be avoided at all costs.

Great and if we were Jaguars fans a coach whose body of work has been relatively decent might be good enough. But we aren't where Bears fans where relatively decent should get your actually kicked out the door.

Not totally against it

I'm surprised Bears players are still complaining about the booing.

Do they not realize why fans were doing it? At least 75% of it had nothing to do with the players.
From Urlacher's comments, it seems he does have an idea. Perhaps he just likes playing the role of the loudmouth. But even he must realize a second utter collapse in a row is inexcusable.

Please, let the world be kind to us and let Lovie and Checkdown Tice go.

The booing there was from two things, well, at least around me: Tice and the offense's slow progression under a minute to go and the officiating.
