I get a really good player who will be an excellent winger with Van Riemsdyk, and Spacek will be an excellent 3rd pairing defenceman. Pretty happy with this deal.
Do not play and games this first block. Once we have the final 2 teams join, I will give a very short window for negotiations, and then we will sim this very first block for the two reasons I listed earlier.
After seeing this, a careful calculation of schedule and seasons was completed and it has come to my attention that we are on pace for approximately 5 seasons. We would be lucky to get into a 6th season.
With that said, if you still wish to work on a trade as such then feel free to do so.
Feel free to work on a solution so both of you can continue to complete a deal.
But that 2015 pick is too much of a question mark in terms of seeing its full potential.
5 Seasons still makes most if not all prospects and 1st round picks this year and possibly in 2014 very relevant, but 2015 may be a question mark.

Okay guys, with only Ottawa left to be taken and mostly everyone accepted into the league, we will "Sim/Advance" the first block tomorrow night at around 8:30 to 9pm EST. This gives you a little under 24 hours to negotiate deals.
So this means get your trade discussions going and finalized if you want your new players for your first playable block which will begin tomorrow night at 9pm EST.
Remember, we are NOT playing any games this first block.
The first playable block will be 3-days starting tomorrow the 19th @ 9pm EST.

With the way this league will be done, this helps with both sims and current team completeness. Decided to give up the best player in the deal (in a couple years) for two current top 6 forwards who can make an impact now.
We are using this as a form for some teams to be able to dump contracts if they wish to do so.
So be careful as to who you send down and recall!
With the amount of simming that's going to be done (and therefore injuries), I predict there will be many many cpu waiver issues. Everyone should keep the rosters to a minimum to try and mitigate some of the computer stupidity with who they send down and such.
