Just picked up a Woliski SOTW for $5K, and I have to say it was a great pick-up. He seams way underrated with selling at under $10K. His stats seam better then they are, like his speed sais 87 but he seams faster; even when he's tired.
First one was 2-2, really even match. I think we both had 7mins TOA and 12 shots. Second one I dominated TOA 11 to 3. But he was able to limit my shots to 16 and not many were really dangerous. My goal was pretty nice. I had the puck left point and had Landy fading away from the top of the left circle to the right faceoff circle and hit him with a one timer.
Since getting back into HUT, I'm 16-7-4. Of the 7 normal time losses, 5 of them have been 1 goal games. One was a 2 goal game, other was 4 lol. So there all real close games. Of the 100 people ranked around me for the month, I have the 6th worst goals for per game. I was scoring way more goals earlier on. Really having a tough time scoring more than 2, even when I completely dominate.
Does anyone know how Hut matchups for single online games are made? Are we just randomly matched up or is it based on each of us playing the closest available opponent in the monthly or overall rankings on the leader board? Or are matchups determined by the star rating of your team or the average rating of your players?
I'm just wondering since I'm 1-6 in my last seven games and hoping for some favourable matchups coming up!
Nash - Thornton (A) - Iginla (C)
Keith - Burns
Heatley - Getzlaf - Perry
Timonen (A) - E. Johnson
Gagne - Spezza - St. Louis
Bouwmeester - Boyle
Maroon - Malhotra - Clutterbuck
Luongo / Mason
Works pretty good for me, last time i checked rankings i was in top 5 (monthly) and top 30 in all-time. Damn, cant wait till playoffs. This time i will win elite playoffs, i almost won last time, when i led the final game of elite 4-3 during last 30 secs. My own goal tied the game up.. Lost in OT. Damn
//: I have some idea's for good 4th line. How about Neal/Burrows/Kane - Roy/? - Doan (cpt card for Doan)? I want, that every line of my is able to score goals.

I find that the longer it takes to find an opponent, the greater the level difference. When I find a game right away, the other player is usually the same or close to my level but when it takes a long time, I get matched up against level 20-35's or 1's (I'm only level 10).

How does the PWF - PLY - PWF lineup work for you with Nash - Thornton - Iginla?
Guys, anyone have any good players they are looking to sell for a mix of pucks and players...? If you are cleaning out your lot, let me know on here cause i will be looking to make a trade. I got good players like Marleau, M. Richards, Havlat, and like 5k to dish out, but that all changes on an daily basis... so check in with me. I am looking for generally 85+ players, but if you think your guy is good and he is below that, still give me a holla
what ive found is it's based on a combo of star rating/salary/ and overall rankings
cause when i get up under the top 500, its doesnt seem to matter if i make 4 star line-up it still puts me up against other contender type teams..
.. If your having trouble with match-ups.. play the under 27K tourny.. (i'm liking this one, level playing field)
Or bring your star rating down before you go for an onlline game..
.. Correct me if im wrong, but this is how i've found it to be.. IMO
I believe you are right. But it's kind of hard for me to comment because I play almost all my games after 2AM, so most of the time I think they just give me the 1st player that searches.

Someone asked about him a couple days ago. Of all the forwards I've used this year, I think Perry is my favorite. He's hard to knock off the puck and has such a great shot. He also has good enough speed.

I'm going to blow up my 4th line which is Hall-RNH-Eberle. I might keep Hall, but if you want any of the 3, let me know here or by PM.
Edit: Also have cheaper players like Alzner, OEL, Gardiner.
Edit 2: RNH is only an 82, but that's because of low CHK and DEF stats. He has 88 SKT, 86SHT and 87HND.
I just put my Price up for a SB of 33000 (about 4K lower than anyone else). If anyone had a trade offer, go ahead. But if you do, I'm definately looking for about 15-20K pucks + a good forward.
Any suggestions on how to start a team when you don't have many pucks to use?
I have had it with the team I have now. Last game made me throw my footstool across the room. Is my only real way of making pucks at the start trying low difficulty tournaments?
