Haven't been on here in months...this feels weird...So Giroux's injured? When and how did this happen?

The last time I felt this lost and confused was while taking a physics test back in high school

Nah, was just a small neck injury. Healed already. Think he's back playing

If training in canada is the same ...

Btw: Seems like Danny may got some hard check against his ribs in Iserlohn (rumors) as he did not visit the training and some news article [http://www.berliner-kurier.de/eisbae...21074262.html] was writing about it.

Melphiz may be able to confirm this but I believe Briere is taking part in the European Trophy playoffs for Eisbaren at 2:30 against Vienna Capitals

Funny, the moderators said something like:
"Hm, will we see Danny on the ice?" - "Yeah sure at a powerplay" ...
and just this second Eisbären get a PP and Danny got his place on the ice ... well for 5 secs only then the PP was done due to a penalty

Eisbaren lost in overtime after tying it up in the 20th minute of the 3rd period and they are now eliminated from the European Trophy playoffs

Wow, losing against the Capitals is pretty surprising, and I can't believe Vienna got as far as they did.

No surprise, 5th away-lose in a row ... if you don't want to win, you don't win, it could've been 4:0 in the first period for the Caps already, if they wouldn't be such an average team.
We still miss a defender, having five offensive player on the field is still plain stupid. Last year we had Richie Regehr, we really suffer from his loss, Katic is new and still no really good base.

Well, yesterday our boys didn't have the will to fight, game was average/boring mostly, I turned the TV off after 2:0, it's not a surprise they scored twice during the last 15 minutes but they still lacked the spirit to win.

Player update :

Briere : 17 GP 6 G 21 A for 27 Points.
Fedotenko : 26 GP 5 G 9 A for 14 Points
Giroux : 9 GP 4 G 15 A for 19 points
Read : 20 GP 6 G 18 A for 24 Points
Sestito : 17 GP 8 G 11 A for 19 Points
Simmonds : (Between both teams) 15 GP 8 G 12 A for 20 Points
Voracek : 18 GP 4 G 10 A for 14 Points
Couturier : 23 GP 7 G 13 A for 20 Points
B. Schenn : 25 GP 11 G 15 A for 26 Points
Gustafsson : 24 GP 3 G 9 A for 12 Points
Bourdon : 17 GP 1 G 3 A for 4 Points

Bryzgalov : 10 GP 4 Wins 5 Losses 2.41 GAA and a .907 Sv Pct

I'm sort of wondering why Luke Schenn hasn't signed with anyone to play some games yet.

Yep, it's about or just a bit under the ECHL level

He's still got like 70 PIMs and is at a PPG.

The next Eric Lindros

Latest thing I've seen was he was training in Ottawa with no timetable on his return. That last report was about a week old now. I haven't seen anything regarding Giroux in Meltzer's blog besides the quick thing in his blog today.

Probably after the new year

Yeah, he was rumoured to go play in the Czech Republic, but I guess nothing materialized.

Haha, doesn't look like Danny is completely recovered yet, seems a bit slow overall but just now, at the 50th minute he scored alone the 4th goal for the Eisbären (vs. Cologne) with a nice counter while Cologne had still powerplay

During second intermission the GM of the Eisbären was interviewed.
Seems like Giroux didn't come back yet because he doesn't want to get injured again. The Eisbären currently have no contact to Giroux other than via his agent.
Briere on the flipside has his kids over and appears to be willing to stay longer than December 31st.

I just finished watching Lev Praha play Salavat Yulaev, and Voracek had two goals and an assist. He looked pretty good out there, and he showed great finishing skills on both goals. On the first one he rushed into the offensive zone, got a nice pass and shielded off a defender and beat the goalie, and the second one it was a snipe slightly from the side on a rush. He could have had another one, where he pretty much had an open net to shoot at, but he was moving backwards and just missed the pass. I couldn't tell whether he was clumsy or whether the pass just wasn't good enough, though. Overall, it wasn't as if he was dominating the game or anything, but he was definitely one of the more active players, and he made some good defensive plays, as well.
